sure there is! if you spend an assload of money on a light that will do for 3+ plants, and you're only growing one, whats the sense? unless you plan on going bigger next time....then we come into the finer details....but i'm the 'right tool for the job' kind of guy...

5000 luminens per square foot is a bit of overkill for early veg......5000 total, depending on your room is good. you need to do a bit more research friend. you can buy a 400watt HPS light for well under 200$.......a few diff sites online at that....check out the luminens required for veg growth.

LED's do look like they will work fine. but what about OLED?....i've heard much about this technology coming out with the next gen of TV's. IMO, i like being able to spend like 130$ on a 400 watt HPS light. I like money in my pocket. So. Find a way to mass produce this stuff cheap, and everyone...

dude....do not transplant at all at this point. not worth it....at least, it wouldn't be me. i'm on the east coast and my outdoor has been in ragin' flowerin' for two weeks. ....if you have to transplant, use huge buckets with similar soil, ph balance, blah blah blah......bit of work, but plants...

nice little set up, that's basically what i'll be running over the winter, but i'm going with soil. it works perfectly outside everytime, i won't even touch hydro gear. i use massive, massive, massive buckets inside. more room for mah roots.
