ya you want the cfls no more then two inches away... have a fan blowing over your plants as it will cool them and strengthen stems

It is best to use both spectrums through the veg stage if possible and this bulb does both.. about $180.00 us but worth it.. you need a 1000hps to run it... do a search solarmax1 and check it out.

I have a 1000hps and for veg use the solarmax1 bulb which has a 400mh and a 600hps in the same bulb and then switch to a 1000hps bulb to finish. Unreal veg bulb.

I only vegged them for a month and they ended up 2ft
