    Buds quality LEDs VS HPS

I have tested this multiple times, watt for watt quality COB lights run cooler than HPS. I did this again yesterday. One 600 watt HPS in a 5x5 tent with one fan and a 4" exhaust and an outdoor temp of 60*f. After a couple hours it was 83*. Swapped in 2 fixtures running at 475 watts each (950w at...

    Temp control issue

On my winter setup, I add CO2 and use the dehumidifier to keep my temps up. I only use hyperfans (comes with speed controller) for my intake and exhaust hooked to a temp/humid controller. I have a simple plug in CO2 controller and a tank. At the moment I have 2500w of COB leds in the room and...

    Semi perpetual grow

@Smokinr33 You would just throw them away. They are only to tell you which plant is male and which is female. Now you know which one's to put into flower. The cuttings you take in week 2 are female, so these clones you would veg like normal.

I own a hydro/growshop how can I be of assistance?

Wow, I usually see a high of 1300ppm, but I do use, maybe, 2/3 with the boosters.

    Semi perpetual grow

To save on time and electricity, I would take 2 cuttings off every plant once they are big enough. Label and clone them with 12 hrs of light so they go straight to flower. Now you can throw away the males and get that wasted space back. After the 2nd week of flower, you can also clean up the...

I own a hydro/growshop how can I be of assistance?

@Daveindiego H&G is the first nutrient line that I have always run at full strength without problems. Even with tap water. They may just be hungry?

QB boards and COBs in winter? Are they warm enough?

I have found, for my room, a combo of sealed and vented works best for me. Winter, with 2000w of COBs, I run semi-sealed with a dehumidifier to help maintain low 85* temps with CO2 and have the fans only turn on if humidity spikes or temps get above 87*. At lights out, the dehu is off, the CO2...

My 72 sf grow space - plants just hit the coco

Are you running 120v or 240v? If you aren't on 240v, you can run cooler and gain some efficiency on the drivers.

    New Spectrum King SK600

The reflectors I design are to maximize the spread, so my coverage is fairly even over the area it is designed around. Usually one bounce to the canopy. So far I have found 250 watts is the highest wattage I like to run a COB at. That lets me keep the light around 18" to 24" with the coverage I...

    New Spectrum King SK600

    I have thought about that, but I don't have any stadiums to light up:bigjoint: 3 CLU058 3618's @ 250w each ( fan assisted). I like:blsmoke:

    New Spectrum King SK600

I just realized that they don't even use the 500w capable heat sink. They are only using the 4 heat pipe model, not the 6 heat pipe model. Most China sites that I looked at run the 4 HP model under 400 watts. Here's the one I bought years ago, built to my spec. for less than SK. I do have to...

    New Spectrum King SK600

If you go to there site and look at the spectrum and you will see that the blue peak is as high as the red peak. I have tested and seen that as I went to a warmer kelvin, the stretch and canopy density were more like an HPS grow. From 4000k, 3500k, to 3000k looked like a staircase going up. The...

Is this a good deal for a used cob setup?

Sh!t, the light is already gone. I had it resold. The one for sale was a 3500k/80cri. I have switched to 3000k/90cri after testing spectrums next to a tray covered by 2 Gavitas. 30/90 still looks like a MH next to the Gavitas. His last run ( while he was gone) started to get spidermites. What we...

    3.3'x3.3' new COBs setup help

I am pretty sure that the HLG's are rated to run at 70*c for 100,000 hrs. So, I would say it should easily reach it's 7 year warranty, even if ran hard. With the right setup on a driver you can get much more power than rated.

Is this a good deal for a used cob setup?

Damn, I just saw the price. I can't even get the chips and heat sinks for that. I made that a while ago.

Is this a good deal for a used cob setup?

Yeah, I use nothing but CLU058 3618 with heat sinks made for me buy Flip Chip. Unfortunately the store owner also needs to make money. I don't have to deal with sales though. That pays for the chip and driver.
