    Watt to Pound Ratio (indoor)

@ 1.2 grams per watt (easy for a decent grower) you will pull over 26 pounds. My last run with COB's was around 1.4 G/W.

    Nevergood's high power garden

Ok, I have gotten some numbers before I fully separate the big for the small. The 650w, 4.5x4.5 foot area pulled 34 total ounces with minimal larf. The other table was around 500 grams or more with 200 of it subpar, but will be excellent wax. That table never had a stable light wattage. It...

Closet or tent as first grow?

The tent will help with keeping the water from ruining your floors, but might cause mold between the tent and closet walls. If you go with the closet, I would put some kind of tray that will cover the whole floor and run plastic up the walls. Next take the door off the closet and save it. Buy...

    cheap led grow light

It is a 100 watt cheap light. If you pull 3 ounces off that light I would be surprised.

3000K vs 4000K SPD curves for Samsung LM561C & Emmerson

When I started, I thought I was going to like the 4000k better, but after a few side-by-sides, I now am happier with 3000k 90cri. This was after testing against a few Gavita's. If you look at the left it looks like a MH next to a HPS. The left side is a 3000k 90cri. There is to much blue, for...

    Nevergood's high power garden

Finally got Bubba cut down. Near the end I had 12 or more yo-yo's holding up colas. With this heat wave it should be dried faster than I want, but nothing I can do. I found that the tray of GG#4 has a couple Cherry Pies hiding in the mix. I hope this doesn't cause me trouble when they finish. It...

    Sog show..

I have one 3'x3' tray of 16 GG#4 with almost the same setup. I have the net set to 4'x4', but I only gave them one week to veg from clones. They are almost 3' tall already.

how to choose tons of safety certification for LED, UL and ETL, etc

When I built this, I made the mistake of having separate power for the COBs and the fans/pumps. When I plugged the lights into 240v, I forgot to plug the pumps in.

how to choose tons of safety certification for LED, UL and ETL, etc

Years ago with blurples I had driver issues a few times and they warrantied them, but now I build my own lights. The Meanwell they replaced right away, I won't use anything else. Yes a $300 puff of smoke, actually a pop. The watercooled housing blew apart from the water pressure and no pump on...

how to choose tons of safety certification for LED, UL and ETL, etc

Of all the failures I have had with LEDs, not one has ever been worse than a small puff of smoke. I have had drivers fail (yes, even meanwell), I once forgot to plug in the pumps on a watercooled fixture and the housing blew apart. No fires, no smoke. I honestly think, even a crap built light...

Cob kits and dimming ? Confused

This might be true, but you are talking 50,000 hrs or more with proper cooling. Proper cooling is the key. If you are keeping it cool at max power compared to barely keeping it cool at half power, which will last longer. No matter what, the next gen or 2 gens down the line, could be worth the...

    Nevergood's high power garden

Things are starting to fall over. The 2 runts that I first added the rings to got nut lock out, so I have started to cut it down. The rest are still growing fine.

how many watts do you veg under?

@kristoffolese For me, I don't have a veg area and don't look for clones until I think I need them. I also have limited room if I over veg because the flower room takes longer than expected, I end up with more problems. Like getting around my room since it is in an L shape.

    6" x 22 " 558 samsung 561c led panel

@OLD MOTHER SATIVA Have you looked over the selection of heat sinks at CDIWeb? They ship to Canada and have all kinds of HS, all the way up to the Coolbay Tera's that can protect the CLU058 up to 480w. I have tried the China route also and the shipping cost ruin the great deal, unless you buy...

how many watts do you veg under?

I vary the wattage depending one how quickly I need them vegged. I try to use no more than 80% of flowering wattage, but usually about 50%.

    Deficiency?

You need to get that room temp up to 80* or close. Since LEDs have no IR, the leaf temp will be less than ambient, so you need to run warmer than you would with HPS/MH/T5. The leaf temp is, I am guessing, 70*. Also I would get a PPM meter.

What's would your dream grow garage look like?

Another thought would be to split the room into 2 flower rooms. Run one day and one night. Now you would only need half the AC. Also gives some control if you ever have bug/mold problems. Can also run staggered start times to distribute the work load.
