    First Outdoor Grow

Sounds like you've done a fair bit of research, but where did the fish idea come from lol. I havn't heard of that one and I would think it mite attract critters like blazin said. I've read through a few gorilla grows where people have used tarps and other things to catch rain water. Good Luck!!!!

Any of you guys ever use grow bags?

There are other brands of fabric pots out there that are cheaper than smart pots. I bought 2-10 gallon and 2-15 gallon for around $30 last year from a local hydro store.

    3 gallon clones

I had a clone last summer that was flowering and I wanted to stress her into growing nanners and giving me some female seeds. I cut her daylight from 13.5 to between 10-11 hrs. Within a couple of days she grew nanners. After a couple days I let her get the 13+hrs again. She had lots of nanners...

I am trying to get an early start and wondering what you guys think is the best lighting for seedlings. They won't be going outside full time till around the first week of June. Here's some info on both options. Window is west facing and gets around 5-6hrs of direct sunlight assuming its...

Minnesota 45 degree north marsh guerilla

I am at 46 latitude, my advice is don't let a couple of September frosts scare ya into chopping too early. Check for mould as often as you can. I made it to the middle of October last year. Good luck!!

    FROST: general rules from experience....

There was a pretty good frost here last night, 0*C for about 6-8hrs and the one plant that didn't get chopped last night survived just fine. Growing weed in cold climate

There's a sticky about frost and cold temps, 38 isn't really that bad for night time temp. Mine have been through at least 2 frosts this year and it's never above 50 at nite anymore. I wouldn't bother with the heater till you get to freezing temps.

    How Cold Can Cannabis Tolerate?

One of mine had frost on the leaves and after the sun came out in the morning it looked fine. That was over a week ago and she is going strong. I really have no idea about the hydro setup, but my guess is the roots are more sensitive than the leaves and stems to cold temps.
