don't use that light sounds like an infrared bulb which isn't good for growing. not the right spectrum of light and probably gonna burn your plants. get some cfl's if you have to. 5000k or 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. you can get em at lowes the 6500k's are 26 watts and run like 2 or 3...

probably wait at least another week before you toss em. some seeds are slow to break the soil and you could've made it worse if you dug the seeds up to check them. i've been guilty of this a few times myself! i know its hard to be patient but give the little guys a few days just keep em moist.

you should but some fertilizer. i dont see the tomato feeding the plant not immediately anyway it takes time for food to break down and be consumed by the plant. it may take up some carbs and/or sugars from the tomato but you still need an n-p-k fertilizer

I know, I know, i should be using unsulfered blackstrap molasses! but im using brown sugar 1 tbsp. to a gal. of water every 3rd watering. any ill effects using it in veg? and how much is too much and with what kind of effects?

in using MG blood meal and bone meal. The directions say to use 1 tbsp. per square foot of garden. I'm mixing my soil in 5 gal. buckets which is about a square foot across, but the MG doesnt say anything about cubic ft. Since they suggest mixing the meal in the first 3 in. of soil and my bucket...

from the pic you showed in the first post it looks like a magnesium def. of course i could be wrong but the way the veins were still green while the rest of the leaf was yellow says mg def. too much calcium can lock out mg.

yea thats not a lot of light at all for such a large space. good idea to use flouro tubes if youre trying to keep cost down, you could fill that room up with shop lights and get good yields with a scrog. 7x7 kinda sucks for the shop lights cause you cant use 8 footers. im not sure if they make 6...
