even on 12/12 itll still veg for a couple weeks, wont actually start to flower till about 3wks or later so use the veg nutes till you see the preflowers.

cant really compare it to any other method as this is all ive ever tried but it works. it doesnt hold a real lot but its easy to just do more than one batch if youve got lots of trim.

real easy to make i used a centrum/pill bottle thing, 1 hole in bottom for gas nozzle to fit in, 9 holes in lid for oil to come out and a bit of chux cloth for a filter. it does the job :-)

id say atleast till its out of the seedling stage, about 2-3wks old or whenever its big enough.

could try a small evaporative cooler, a lot cheaper than an A/C, should be good enough to drop temps a few degrees but will raise humidity also. more airflow i reckon would be your best bet tho even just pointing a a small fan at the light blowing the heat up to the exhaust should help a little

using a cooltube should help a bit that fan with a filter on it would be a bit low on flow i reckon what light are you using?

could try rolling it under your finger on some sandpaper or concrete to take the shine off it. or soak it in water overnight and see if that helps, it should sink if waters getting into it. sometimes they just dont grow, ive got a batch of seeds here that all look like good seeds but havent...

reckon hardware stores would be best bet, or ebay. i got 2 125w CFLs off ebay for $50 a while back, keep an eye out on there as some of the larger sizes pop up now and then for a good price.

simple 3way toggle switch, has 3 terminals and switch has 3 positions, on-off-on, hook power to the common terminal, the high wire to one side and the low wire to the other. should be able to find one at any shop that sells electrical stuff.

ebay, theres some cheap 65w+ CFLs on there now and then, check international sellers. 1000bulbs has a good range

thats not much light really. can you add a few CFLs? those lights shouldnt be burning the plants, check ya water. got fans? fresh air is important.

about 8-9wks is the usual, so if theyre at 3wks now then wait another 5wks and check the trichomes. seedless seedpods is what you want, they are the bud, couple weeks and you should notice them swelling. theyre lookin good so far :weed:

you might be able to detach the lamp holder from the ballast then you could just extend the wires to whatever length you need. theres screws on the endplate and inside the socket in the 2nd pic which looks like it should atleast give access to the wires inside if not let you remove the socket...

should only be a couple dollars for a can of flat white spray paint.

PC fans run on 12v you need a 12v DC adapter to run them from the mains one of these things...

a 120mm PC fan should move the same or more air and be a lot quieter than one of those.
