    H.A.F. growing stink-flowers in dirt with QB's

I just realized it's been almost 2 weeks since I fed anything. And they all look healthy and still have ppm in the run-off. So I am going to start placing a little more trust in the dry top-feed stuff than the liquid feeds. There are 5 components with different NPK, based mostly on different...

Best bet is to cut everything in half. It's genetics and lights that make fat buds. Overfeeding always does more harm than good, so why chance it?

All plants are different. Some you can dump nutes on and they love it, some you get one ppm too high and they go sideways. When I feed, I mix in every component it calls for on the schedule for that week. For me, I drop all the nutes by half for starters, but will go by what the plant says. If...

If by "nitro" you just mean nitrogen, no you don't cut it out in flower, but it drops. The Big Bloom is only 0.0-0.5-0.7. It's all bat-shit and worm-shit. That is why it is safe not to cut it as much. also, no N.

Yes, which is why you still use them, but less of each. Percentages... 50% would be 1.5tsp big bloom, and 25% would be 1/2tsp of the other two. All I am saying is that if it calls for all three, use all three. Just not so much. I have most of the FF stuff, and don't know what nitro or recharge...

For whatever reason, the first 6 were duds. Probably me, but whatever. After about 22hrs one of the Crown Jewel had a tail, so they all got podded This pod-tray is much better, it's shorter so the bottom of the pods actually reach bottom. And I shifted the heat mats so the little one is...

Day 35 for the BW, 46 for the RM's. They're close enough in size that I have them on the same light feeding schedule.

^^ That was what I meant. And you can bump up the % as you go if the plants seem ok, just remember that if you burn them, it takes a week or more to show up. That's why the low%. So when the schedule calls for a new nute, ease into it.

Yes, but the schedule takes care of that. You gradually add more of one thing and less of others. The system is fine, just harsh. So using the schedule and all ingredients in it is fine, just don't go 100% on those two.

But that's just because I'm playing it safe now. If the nitro stuff you have is similar to "Beastie Bloomz" (NPK-wise) on the FF schedule for example, swap 'em. Reality is they are probably all the same. I just like that the pre-made schedules already have a baseline with the right proportions...

OK. I use a canned feeding schedule from the companies. I just tweak it to how much I'll actually use (like 25% or whatever) or how I'll use some stuff at a higher % or even 100% just because of what it is. Like cal-mag - I have yet to see anyone with cal or mag burn... Plenty of deficiencies...

Are those reggies or fems? That's cool. I am just figuring out that a "6-pack" of reggies is about the number to get at least one fem (I think?). I have tomatoes and peppers as well, but my first year in the house, so I didn't commit to anything. random plants here and there to see where the...

Only thing I did on these was what I planned, the extra leaf and stem is gone on the upper right one, so the all match now except for those 4 extra little shoots. The BW is almost ready for her final topping. Usually, as soon as that next set of leaves facing each other start being a problem it...

I re-found the article I mentioned about the moon and weed. Says germination is best done during the waxing or crescent moon phase https://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/moon-affects-grow-marijuana/ And after checking the weather channel to see what phase of moon we have it is on the money for...

So far the GDP is the only popper. At least I know that I didn't screw everything up since one popped. That makes the waiting a little easier. The GDP popping in about 48hrs probably makes the others seem slow. She is starting out with a purple stem - maybe I can grow her long enough to see...

Day 28 12/12 They weren't dry, but close so instead of soaking them I gave roughly a half gallon to each, just RO treated with calmag. Some got more, some got less, But all felt about the same when I was done. Since none are level, I think I finally found an arrangement that gives most of the...

The reason I'm not pruning yet, is that the red lines show where the next topping would be if I did an 8-top, and they are already bigger than those shoots are. They are showing uniformity and the fact that it wasn't just one or two makes me hesitate. If they start getting fatter stems to rival...

@J.James Two of the RM are getting a little stretch, And I untied everything for now. The one that isn't stretching deserved a closer look, check this shit out! It is putting out a new shoot at the base of each of the 4 keeper shoots. I was going to prune them, but crazy stuff like this makes...

It's already off. I did have to crack it a little like I mentioned. I could see the yellow swelling inside the seed so I helped it along. I wet it too from your last mention of it. Last discussion was about that inner skin sticking the leaves together, but I figured it couldn't hurt. We'll see...

I may have to do surgery on that seed hull though. If it hasn't popped off by tomorrow I'm getting in there. The only thing sneaking out is the taproot. I held a bamboo skewer between tweezers to keep them from closing too far and gave it a squeeze to make sure it was cracked good.
