I like the binder clip idea. I need to tie to the edge of the bucket to stop the plant falling over in the loose coco. The bendy clips won't do that :)

That's a pretty big call, I just pulled 2lbs, 2 different strains, Corinto and Ghost Train Haze that both had a few buds with rot, should I throw it away for the sake of a couple of moldy buds? That's a lot of time and effort and if you dry it PROPERLY what little mold gets missed turns to dust...

I had some straight bud rot recently in a few flowers of Ghost Train Haze, I chopped the plants and trimmed and cut out the worst straight away and dried in trays over a week in an air flow box to 55%RH and bagged it. Looks good still after about 3 or 4 weeks and smokes good :) Was bud rot...

Plants are looking good bud :D I think those little flies you saw last time might be fungus gnats, I get loads of them and the larvae eat the roots

I don't squash the buds, just the excess air so there's still plenty of air just not a large void, works for me in my climate :) Cobbing is an accepted way of curing and MOST of the air is pressed/sucked out

I found anything over 60 I eventually get mold or at least a musty smell. Maybe 62ish short term like a month or so...

I've given up on jars, the air gap is too big. I have better results in plastic ziplock bags but squeeze the air out before zipping up the last bit and then seal in plastic paint buckets in a coolish place. The stuff in the jars with an air gap turns to hay :)

If you feel like doing some research and have the lights/space it would be good to know if there is a difference in viable pollen yield. Maybe your friend could try with HPS or CMH? Sounds like a good candidate :P

It wasn't all strains and it was quite a few years ago now when we were all talking about what worked best, different strengths and different time cycles etc. I had a quick look and the thread looks like it's been edited a bit, maybe now the method and strengths are sorted out it doesn't matter...
