DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

Damn, I will keep a close eye on it. I only add it after every water change which is usually between 7 to 10 days.

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

I just ordered some bigger air stones that's not ball sized.. these ones have length and girth. Also went with this pump: https://a.co/d/gKcV1E1

    Low Stress Training (LST) Guide

I'm about 3 weeks in and tried LST on one plant. Messed up bad cause one of my bigger fan leaves ripped clean off. I'm not cut out for this technique, so I just stopped. Anyone ever have a fan leaf rip off and still have a good grow?

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I'm running 1ml per bucket which is probably about 3.5 gallons of water. I think I'm putting more than needed actually lol. Checked roots again today and yeah they seem more orange than brown so maybe I'm good? Regardless I'll be switching the water out every 7 to 10 days.

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

Do you have multiple hoses going into one DWC with this setup? Also does air stone size make a difference? The ones I have are small balls.

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

Those vivosun commercial pumps get pretty loud huh? Feels like my grow room already loud as hell with dripping water, tons of fans and air pump so I might just go to the cheap, noisy and powerful route. My current air pump is 4x4L which I'm finding out is on the very low end. BTW here's a quick...

DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

I use jacks 321, ph up/down when needed and Southern AG. Water looks pretty clear but light orange tint from nutes I'm guessing. Do my roots look fine? I see a little brown in the pic but don't feel any slime etc.

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

You think the cheapest one is better than something that'd come with a DWC system? Like activeaqua for example.

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

The magnetic stirrer I got from Amazon was $20 as well. Does a great job!

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

Yeah, that was a dumb move but since then my plants have kept growing pretty strong. I'm just happy I didn't stunt them. Might have even grown stronger, who knows. Sorry no pics @Nizza.. I was too pissed. I can get a pic of them boxed up ready to return to Amazon tho lmao

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

It ripped out like 2 or 3 pretty long roots. I'm like 2 weeks into my grow too, is this gonna be a big problem or is the plant pretty resilient?

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

It would probably work but it just doesn't seem worth it, the water was moving less than the weak air stones were doing and its rated like 600gph. Anyone have suggestions for a good commercial air pump that isn't too loud?

DO NOT use a "Wave Maker"

Searching through the forums and there were plenty of people on here that suggested a wave maker over an air pump.. well one Amazon order later and a Wave Maker in my DWC bucket resulted in this dumb product catching my roots and ripping some out. I am glad it just happened to one bucket but...

Mars Hydro Father's day Giveaway-- Looking For A Tester For Smart FC-3000 LED Grow Light

I have 2 complete sets from MarsHydro, the tsw2k and ts600 kits. I'd love to upgrade the lights in the tent with the tsw2k and then move the tsw2k to my smaller MH tent. That'd be a dream! (United States) @sandman83 @budolskie

    Real RDWC or not?

Yep, my next setup will be the PAhydroponics Fallponics system, that's if this DWC setup is a disaster. I did a water change, pH and nutrients last night on 3 buckets, took less than an hour so it wasn't too bad. One thing I'm happy about when moving away from RDWC is all the tubes and hoses...

DWC root issues (help would be appreciated)

For a week my DWC water temps were between 75 and 85. No root rot, I think Southern AG might be doing its job cause I anticipated the water to go nasty in those temps.

    Real RDWC or not?

Quick update, ended up moving to just DWC. These buckets I bought just won't do good in any RDWC setup cause the tubes are too tiny. Too many modifications involved and since it's my 1st grow ever.. I'm rolling with DWC for ease of use. Do not buy this VEVOR set up.

    Real RDWC or not?

Do you have a diary or journal I can follow? All 4 of my seeds sprouted, I'm going to move them into my fake RDWC (lol) system soon, when should I do that? Also, I think 4 might be too much for a beginner..What do you think?
