Those aren’t bad, I’ve certainly see much worse. You can cover the stem when you pot up with soil. If they start to fall over you can prop them up with a kabob stick or something similar, then bury the stem at transplant.

I dread the possibility of a tick bite causing a meat allergy. We get ticks on us all the time working in the yard, I got Lyme several years ago and that was bad enough, no way I want a meat allergy as well.

My wife says they’re gremlins, and they hide stuff and wait for you to look for them. Once you start looking they put it back in the first place you looked, but only after you’ve looked there twice.

I have their 4’ version that looks similar, I use them for my tomatoes and peppers to start in the spring, they work fine for that so believe they would work for getting clones started. I wouldn’t try long term vegging or flowering, but getting clones started they don’t need much.

You can feed with 1/4 strength nutes to significant runoff, then go back to regular feeding, just lower your EC a bit and see how the plant reacts.

A good cleaning with just a bit of soap and water has always worked for me, but if it still has a smell you can put some baking soda on a paper plate and place it in there for a while, that should take care of any lingering odors.
