Makes sense. When I culled the two males I pulled all the hydroton out of the root mass and I was amazed with the amount of roots that had grown in the hydroton. Usually in my DWC grows the roots just snake through the hydroton and into the water, these formed a super dense mat of roots within...
The other thing that baffles me is the root structure itself. In my previous DWC grows the roots got long and had ample side branching. These ones are just little root nubs sticking down with little side branching.
I’m thinking of moving the two plants to my basement for a couple days in 5 gal...
The bottom of the net pot is about 2 1/2” inches above water level. The water stream hits the opposite side of the bucket and splashes the net pot. When I check the roots the net pots and roots are uniformly wet from the splashing.
Hi Folks,
I've been having some issues recently with my first grow in my new RDWC system.
I've grown successfully in DWC about a dozen times 10 ish years ago, took a bit of a growing break and decided to fire back up last year. Grew a successful DWC crop last winter and a nice summer outdoor...
I make a fair amount of edibles, and the most popular format I’ve made are 5mg gummy bears. People like having the ability to fine tune their dosage. People new to cannabis are a lot more at ease knowing they can take a low dose easily and see how it goes. I always tell them to take 1 (5mg) and...
I used regular round 5 gallon buckets and brought my drain off the bottom with shower drain fittings. I had to frame up a base out of wood to hold them off the ground but it works well. I also ran 1/2" bulkheads right at the bottom of my net pot height for waterfalls. I use top hats, which are...
I just built a 4 bucket RDWC system myself. I opted to plumb the discharge from the pump to waterfalls in each 5 gallon bucket and I have a 2” gravity drain returning the water to my 27 gal rez.
I would reconfigure your pump to waterfalls on your next grow. The way you have it set up you have...
Just go loose at first, test, then tighten as needed. Bulkheads are kinda a PITA, there is a sweet spot where they don’t leak. Too tight, leaks. Too loose, leaks worse. You don’t need any additional sealant other than the gasket.
Your gasket is likely deformed if you over tightened it and will always leak. Buy a new bulkhead fitting and use that gasket to try again. That gasket just needs to be snug, not compressed.
Depends how many runs you wanna do. I usually do 4 runs and it takes me 2-3 hours. I use a electric drill and a mortar mixer attachment to agitate the mix. Just google making bubble hash.
Anyone order from this seedbank? Anybody shipped to Canada from them?
I figure anybody selling almost exclusively land races must be in this for the love of the plant, but I'd like at least hear something about them before I plunk down my cash.
I've got my on their Siberian and Lebanese land...
I had thistle seed on some of my bud, all be it no where near as bad as yours. I just pulled it off with scissors when wet trimming and it came off pretty easily.
I grow tall vines behind my plants and short colourful flowers in front of them and they just kinda disappear.
The trick is to just draw someone’s attention elsewhere. A green plant on a green background is totally unassuming.
I potted up my outdoor plant at week 1 of flower and had great success. It had been under the care of a friend of mine who donated it to me after my seeds went 5/5 male. He had her in cheap soil in a 6 gal fabric pot, I transferred it into a 20 gal fabric pot with 90% Promix HP 10% garden...
Did you cut all the leaves off before or after it started flowering? I’m guessing your problem is related to the lack of leaves, which are needed to fuel growth.
