900ppm right now should be fine...the ph was so low because of all the nutrients in the solution...I'd get your ph down to 5.8 though...its ok to let it drift from 5.6-6.0 to grab the most out of it as thats the complete range nutrients are available to a plant in hydro :)

The size of the bucket correlates with the size of the plant you want to grow...if you only plan on vegging your plant to 1-1.5' a 3gallon pot would work fine...if you are planning on vegging them until they are 1.5'-2' then go for a 5 gallon as you'll need the additional space :)

Why do you need black buckets? You only need light locked buckets...so those cheap buckets from home depot are fine if you paint the outside with a light locking paint :)

For that little plant probably about 600-700 PPM of NUTRIENT PPM...so PPM your water subtract that from your total at the end...and take the PPM before you use PH down...those don't really count..if you are using tap water with a high PPM probably not a good idea... What is the temp of the...
