    HELP - DIY Nutrients

Yep. While vegging you could even have 1:1 K:Ca since the plant needs more calcium at that point. @ifoodhippie overdoing any of the K,Ca,Mg will lead the other two absorbing less. So always think that too when starting to see one of them being deficient. Make sure you are not giving too much...

    LED vs H.I.D

His brain has gotten bad case of microwave radiation, likely from the LED he was using. But forgive him brothers, for he doesn't know what he's talking about.

    Led light ....

@ 150W your LED should produce close to same amount of light than the 250W HPS. So around 3/4 of max power? Have you checked out the Photone app for measuring the amount of light? It's pretty handy for getting an idea how much light you are throwing at it.

    2nd grow

Sometimes, they crack open and wither from various reasons. But if only some days behind the other feller, I'd still have high hopes for it grow. Maybe you could pop a backup seed and if you end up lucky you'd go with 3 pots? Careful with watering at this stage, wet is the enemy. Any sort of...

    Swapping to LED for Summer

Looks about right, I don't personally have experience with Spider Farmers. But alot of ppl here has them and seem to be ok.

    Swapping to LED for Summer

250W HPS produces around 1.7 umol/W, so ~425 umol/s Most of the LEDs produce ~2.5 umol/W, so with 180W you'd get pretty much same amount of light. So look for LED that has around 450-600umol/s. which would be around 200W.

DIY drying and curing android app.

No, use existing app, like the Home Assistant to control the devices. You'd just build the algo how the Home Assistant would control the setup. Just need a device where to run the app. Then connect to it from PC/phone through webpage

DIY drying and curing android app.

Advanced Cannatrol Logic Features (and How to Mimic Them) 1. Dew Point-Based Control Cannatrol doesn’t control just RH — it controls dew point, because that reflects the actual water vapor content in the air, which affects drying/curing more directly than RH alone. DIY mimic...

Gotcha, so the default Tuya app in the smart switch you linked isn't enough?

DIY drying and curing android app.

Sorry, might have still misunderstood your goal a bit. So if you could connect the AC infinity controller to any of the smart home apps, this should enable you to configure it pretty easily? https://community.home-assistant.io/t/ac-infinity-wifi-controller-69-with-ha/477918...

DIY drying and curing android app.

Not an android dev or even a coder. Tho I have decent understanding of the concepts and friends in the coding world. I mean the logic could probably be built for any platform with relative ease. Depending on how complex code ya going for, but even a non-coder could possibly generate somewhat...

    LED vs H.I.D

If the Hortilux Super Blue really was the pinnacle of flowering quality, you'd still see them in use by winners of Emerald Cup or Spannabis. But most of them have gone LED, even the old-school breeders are switching over. Most recent Cannabis Cup winners (2019–2024) increasingly use high-end...

    LED vs H.I.D

Won't bother to put up new thread for this, but for those interested I came across some fresh research: https://migrolight.com/blogs/grow-light-news/do-not-use-far-red-for-flowering...

    LED vs H.I.D

When researchers explicitly control for temperature (e.g., matching leaf or canopy temperatures between treatments), the beneficial effects of 800+ nm light tend to disappear or greatly diminish. That’s strong evidence that any apparent benefits were likely thermal rather than photobiological...

    LED vs H.I.D

I'm well aware of the Emerson effect like up to a 750nm, stretch that maybe to 800nm. But can you provide any sources for where they suggest over 800nm might be usefull? Aside from certain shade responses from red to far-red ratios, and the fact that rest of it just goes to heat. Which of...

    LED vs H.I.D

Yeah LED's all the way if you are power limited. Took a look for more recent UV studies and it didn't look too good if going for more resin. Well more effect on the terpene profile. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/plant-science/articles/10.3389/fpls.2023.1220585/full As for your general...

    LED vs H.I.D

From burple to 400-700nm and then the far-red for emerson effect. UV's are somewhat common already and pretty well researched already. https://www.led-tech.de/en/UV-modules I'd say they are probably better used as additive light instead of having them always on on your grow. On my to do list...

    VPD Laser Reading?

Alright. Well the product isn't familiar to me, but I suppose there could be some logic programmed to it. Maybe it shows the ambient and laser reading? 1.4-1.6kPa is probably ok, the charts might have bit different values in them. The chart I gave had VPD of 1-1.35kPa for mid/late flower, so...

    VPD Laser Reading?

Not quite sure what you are asking, but with your 79fahrenheit + 46.6% humidity comes down to 1.7kPa. So bit on the dry side, but close enough I'd say. The laser is handy when measuring the leaf temperatures, since they evaporate they are often bit cooler than the ambient temps.

    Everyone’s fave nutes?

I'm with @7CardBud, pretty much any base nutrient will do. For me the base nute is Yara's Ferticare Hydro. On top of I have the MPK, CalNit and MgS. 25kg bags I reckon Maxibloom would be fine as a standalone, you could still add some CalNit for example to that to have a bit better vegging solution.
