I can confirm as a first time LED user.. I was used to using HID and having to GET RID of heat, whereas now I find myself struggling to keep it . Plants noticeable suffered when my temps and humidity were down and I couldn’t raise them…
Big shout to @VIVOSUN Official !! Here is the fan that I won, in action inside of my Vivosun 3x5 tent..
Honestly this thing is the perfect fan for any size tent. It has complete adjustability and on low speed with oscillation, gives the perfect gentle breeze that your plants will need...
Finished the build.. I’m little disappointed with the output… I guess I should have went with the 3-head fogger instead. I’ll use this together with my current cool mist humidifier for now and see how it works. In a couple weeks I’ll order the 3-head and swap it out. It holds about 4-5...
Just got all the parts for my DIY fogger/humidifier. I’ll post a pic and update if it works in a few days. From the initial test of parts it seems like the single head fogger that I got may be too weak for what I’m looking for..
lol I’m an idiot.. that makes sense. I didn’t put the 2 and 2 together that it’s a forced air system. I have a hydronic system with radiators and baseboard so that wouldn’t work for me.
Just thinking outside the box… this doesn’t cause any duct issues with the added humidity?
I’m making something similar to this but on a smaller scale using a 7 gallon bucket. It’ll be hooked to an inkbird controller and speed controlled fan. I am going to play around with locations of piping and see what I can do to raise my tent
I’m going to stop chasing my tail, honestly I think a big part of my issue is I’m using a pretty powerful LED for my size space. Also being the first time using LED and I got fixated on the whole VPD bs and trying to get the right temp and humidity because from what I understand plays much more...
the room and basement have always been warm, there are low ceilings and all of the heating pipes for the entire house are fed right above…
Tell me about your exhaust setup… do you basically recirculate your exhaust air back into the rooms fresh cold intake air? Kind of mixing it or am I way...
I know exhausting out makes things tougher, just figured since the air I’m pulling would be coming from the doorway leading to the rest of the house and not the cold dry outside air, that I might be able to at least control it a LITTLE.
I have a heater in the room really for lights out, I’ve...
It is, but I find it kind of fun trying to figure it out and dial everything in…
the whole house is pretty dry… the basement is the warmest part of the house for some reason, so exhausting out is a better option for me.
It’s a hot water gas boiler and water heater…
well that’s essentially what the diy fogger will do, is basically dump mist into the tent when humidity drops, but I feel like with the exhaust the humidity is always going to be low-ish and the fogger would Constantly run causing other mold and bacterial issues
Hey RIU… so after a constant battle the last couple of weeks, I’m here for some help and advice. As always it’s much appreciated…
Where I’m at it’s cold and very dry out. Im having a hard time keeping my tents humidity higher than MAYBE 35-40% while running a small humidifier 24/7 in the room...
Ive been growing for quite a few years and just started using LED for the first time. I thought I had everything dialed in, temp between 70-75 and rh around 50 only to find out it’s not the same as using HID.. I’ve always used HID and the battle would be getting rid of heat… now I have to...
