Dont you use rice to dry stuff out faster/keep it dry? You want to dry herb slow for the best smoke so rice wouldnt be ideal

Aeros work great used em for years. Distilled/RO water and youre good to go If you cant afford to do an aero or are intimidated by hydro, plugs are the shit and theyre cheap. Prob get a dome tray+insert and plugs for under 20 at most stores
