This is the one and only time I'm gonna say anything to you, and I hope you can have the same consideration: I don't allow trolls in my life. Carry on.

See, that I knew, and the numbers makes sense (4*36*1.4*1.06 = ~213) just like I like it. This other "pot vs vr" thing... Idk man.

I guess we'll just have to wait till him or someone more knowledgeable than us can answer it. Damn I hate not knowing things!

    LED grow light help please!

Well I'm not even sure why he suggested that heatsink, as has already been proved that pin heatsinks are better than fin. Check this ones, 1 per COB: http://www.pacificlightconcepts.com/product/plc140mm-anodized-pin-heatsink/

Actually it was him who told me to connect the 2 grounds together (or grounding them to the power supply case) until I have the frame to connect them to it.

DIY kits now available from Timber!

Hey everyone, I could use your input here, as I don't know if Dan is available in weekends and I've been very confused since yesterday. So here is the thing, I just got a 4 COB kit from Timber (4 x cxb3590 + hlg185h-1400b). Everything allright, a bunch of light. BUT, my cheap killawatt thingy...

Now those are way better than the original - too close to the holder - holes. It'll make much more simple my previously overcomplicated design. Thanks for the pics.

Do you know the separation between the holes themselves? The data sheet of the CPL 100 Series says it's 100mm diameter, so 10mm inset on center of hole from outer edge would be 80mm apart diagonally (1->3 and 2->4). I calculated the space between 1->2, 2->3, etc as 7.071cm. Can you confirm or...

No. Mine will be running @1.4mA Indeed, we are not. We are actually talking 200W, and at 50W each. Yes, please. Real, and stick to the point whenever possible. Thanks.

My path from outdoor to COBs - Help/advice appreciated

Ye I know 4ft2 are 4ft2. I meant it terms of light propagation, and how to better use the overlapping. ie. in 1x4 there are only 3 overlapping areas, each of them between 2 COBs. Tho I guess they would be bigger. While in 2x2 are 4 areas, each of them between 2 COBs, plus a center hotspot...

My path from outdoor to COBs - Help/advice appreciated

Makes sense. I'll go square. Yep, thanks. I'd looked into that and found out the numbers are with you: https://www.rollitup.org/t/cxb-3590-36v-or-72v.878016/#post-11770091 So I'm thinking 4 plants in 70x70cm (2.25x2.25') that would be around 973 PPFD.
