Old School Skunk, who's found it???

Enjoying a Columbia Gold x Skunk18. It's skunky and sweet, very sativa but big trichs. The holy grail skunk I'd pray for again wasn't sweet, but it wasn't opposite of sweet. It was pure skunk smell but at the same time pleasant, like almost wanted to turn sweet but it took a right turn and...

    Drying and Curing using vpd

Sorry, It sounds like I be irritating you. Better than a dead thread though, right? Anyhow, I'm not changing my methods, I'm improving them on my limited budget but can do attitude. In my case my main takeaway from what you described is that I can target vpd during drying, instead of rH. I...

    Drying and Curing using vpd

So here was error. It still makes sense to me that if 0.8 vpd is desired, then at 80F I would want 77% rH, at 70F 68%, and at 60F 55%. But for curing, when you want air to accept no moisture from bud, you might think you want 0 vpd. But yeah, that is at 100% rH which sounds a little crazy...

    Drying and Curing using vpd

Oh thank you so much for correcting me! For some reason I was saying 1.0 vpd would be total saturation. I should have meant to say about 0 vpd is what you want in cure.

    Drying and Curing using vpd

Using that info, if 0.8 vpd is desired, at 80F I would want 77% rH, at 70F 68%, and at 60F 55%. And then for curing we don't want to lose any more moisture I imagine, so target 1.0 vpd: 80F:72% , 70F:60% ,60F:44% or a little higher % to be on the safe side, < 1 vpd 44% at 60F is a surprise to...

    Drying and Curing using vpd

You're making me think that even if I can't afford to get my drying temps down below 66F (edit) I should be trying to increase my atmosphere's rH above 60% to target a vpd of .8kpa instead of targeting 60% rH. It would seem I would probably need to increase my atmosphere's rH whereas what you...

Cool stuff you are doing g4. What is the reason your goal is 9 days? Why not more or fewer days?

Spicy, peppery strains with at least 25% THC

Still looking? A Liberty Haze I grew was all black pepper. I believe Romulan was peppery.

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

I'm not sure when I'll start another landrace again but when I do I'm taking what your inputs are so far and as far as what I can afford to do I will try the 50/50 perlite vermiculite and add some low N organic fert only occasionally including I think kelp and I'll watch it on the LABs since it...

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

I read once that weed original came to Jamaica from India.

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

Hey Florida, thanks for the input. I think maybe yes they don't like LEDs. I don't know if this is just coincidence but for me it's the super thin leaved sativas that have been the most picky. I would like to try the sterile mix you mention. You must have fed it something though. Especially...

    FPE vs LABs

Makes sense to go light. The LAB is making the organic nutes more available.

    FPE vs LABs

I forgot to say I am running organic. I'm using SIPs too. Might try it in my res. Good to know it doesn't cause any problems there. I read that FPJ and FPE are different. I decided on FPE over FPJ at some point but don't recall why I did or what the difference is between FPJ or FPE. I'm...

    FPE vs LABs

I'm making a batch of LABs. I don't want to get too far down this Korean farming rabbit hole thing, but as long as I have labs I'm thinking why not make FPE? My question is what is FPE better for than just labs alone and why so? Is it just adding nutrients? If my organic soil already has...

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

seems slightly acidic and medium P is what I'm interpreting as most likely in the second link. I read once Ethiopian was brought from Jamaica which the first link seems to confirm, so I wonder if Jamaican soil assay is same as Ethipian?

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

Hey Conor, no problem. I looked at the bags yesterday and they are leveling sand. So not for concrete mix. I dont see why they would add anything to levelling sand would they?

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

oh shit I don't know if it does. I grew clones with a different sand and perlite 50/50 and I was very happy with that for cloning. I think it was not playsand. Only thing I did was check it for water flow. Maybe if I wet the leveling sand I'm guessing it would crust up a bit if it has...

Soil mix for landrace sativa (indoors led)?

Cool I use Sips too. I didn't have sips when I did the Ethiopian however. Really cool plant though. Very consistent. Males seemed very dominant when crossed to other strains. Mine always started slow and small for a sativa but eventually stretched.
