The daylight hours are short enough now that flowering has begun. What you're talking about is light dep and the time to do that is when daylight is long enough to keep your plants in veg. To do this now outdoors serves no purpose.

Yup, I made a few crosses last year that I'm trying out the seeds on now. They're all about 5 feet and started early with aggressive topping.

Unbelievable how fast they go from no indication to major balls. I like seeds because there are no clones with bugs and no mothers to maintain year round, but it's allot of work getting them to the point where they get chopped.
