First grow tips or advice welcome

You're doing it again, your over complicating it. Don't attempt to mix your own - go out and buy a good quality one from a plant store.

My first grow day 15 of flower ! How do they look

Here's some advice - one person should be in charge of the plants only. You're going to get into trouble if you have 2 or more people tending to them

First grow tips or advice welcome

You said you are a newbie, and so you have already made the first mistake; going soil-less. Growing pot is not hard, but people make it hard by attempting to use techniques that are way above their experience level or adding bullshit supplements. Here is my advice; Get a good quality soil and...

    I'm stumped guys. please help

Stop over complicating it. Ditch the soil-less mix. Go and get a good quality soil and use that. Any half decent soil has pH buffers in it so you dont need to worry about pH which will automatically eliminate the majority of problems inexperienced growers run into (and then exacerbate in their...

    Need help with indoor growing?!?!

Any half decent soil already has ph buffers in it so by using ph adjusters to each water then by the time your half way through flower your soil ph is all fucked. Secondly, you give your plants fertilizer when it needs it - not based on a pre defined schedule. If the soil is good, you may not...

Nah i never cut fan leaves off. I mean if you're too late into flower then there isn't much you can do, or if its ridiculously way over crowded you cant do much either - but in his case, based on the pics, they aren't going to overcrowd especially after another week of veg and if they did i'd...

600w MH/HPS LST grow journal: the cheese PICS

The thing is though if you have a nutrient deficiency then you would correct it at the soil level by changing you feeding schedule and what your feeding it because thats where your problem lies. You want to fix the problem at its source. I mean unless your plant is on the verge of death and you...

600w MH/HPS LST grow journal: the cheese PICS

Foliar feeding is a waste of time in my opinion. Never done it, and can't imagine any time i would ever need to. Plants take up water and nutrients from the roots, i never saw the point in spraying them especially if you have high powered lights hovering above them.

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

Well i guess with outdoor grows you simply can not know when the flowering started, you can just guess by its development. But i'm talking about indoor grows. I guess it doesnt really matter. I just fail to see how it is logical to consider the start of the flowering phase to begin when you...

Looks good, lst looks roughly how i'd do it too. Its not really that hard, people just don't think about it. All you're doing is getting as many growth tips as the same height as possible. And yes, do not ever cut off fan leaves. You can move them and fold them under branches (as long as you...

    LST question +rep for help!

Probably about the same. But near the end they need adjusting less and less. You need to get in early to get an even canopy like that. Just keep tying branches back when the plants are small, just aim to keep all the colas at the same height right through the grow.

At what point do you consider a plant to be in the flowering phase?

I never actually though about that, but it makes sense. I no longer see any reason why anyone would ever count flowering days by when they think they see pistils appearing.

    I agree with that

At what point do you consider a plant to be in the flowering phase?

Nobody who measures their flowering period from the 12/12 switch would disagree. You don't go by how long they have been flowering, but it seems to me that it would be better just using the 12/12 switch even if it might not be technically accurate because there is no room for interpretation...

what difference makes the size of the pot?

Yeah sure, just be careful not to over water if you have a small plant in a big pot.

what difference makes the size of the pot?

I agree. I was amazed at how much bigger my buds got when i started growing in bigger containers. Im going to go even bigger next time. This raises another question for me; Can you go too big?
