    LST question +rep for help!

Don't worry about whether your in flower or veg, as long as you arent putting to much pressure on the stems to put them at risk of breaking (which you shouldn't be when LST'ing - hence the 'low stress') then it doesnt matter whether the plant is a 1 week old from seed/clone or 6 weeks into...

    LST question +rep for help!

I LST through the entire grow. Even during the tail end of flowering im always tying branches back to make the most of the lights (although near the end its only really to hold them up because they are falling over with the weight of the buds). The whole point of it is to maximize the amount of...

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

Nah not at all because from now on whenever someone says they are X weeks/days into flower i won't know whether they are measuring it using your method or mine. I've started a thread to gauge which system people on here use so that should be interesting. Obviously i think mines better because...

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

Possibly... i am trying to avoid shit work jobs and i'm still recovering from the weekend but i think i make valid points. I'm not trying to be a prick but honestly i am pretty surprised because i've been growing for a number of years on and off and have done a shitload of research. To induce...

At what point do you consider a plant to be in the flowering phase?

Up until now, i always assumed that if someone said their plants were 4 weeks into flower that they meant 4 weeks into the 12/12 phase. Apparently there are people who consider the flowering phase to begin when the flowers actually start to appear. Am i the minority or majority here? Which...

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

So then how do people narrow their flowering duration down to the day? How can anyone say "im on day X of flower"? Because at what exact stage in the 1-2 week period after 12/12 switch do the nodes officially go from non-flowering to flowering? It's a gradual thing, its like asking at what exact...

leaves starting to yellow week4 flowering, prob. ???

Jesus you use alot of nutes. It looks like a classic example of magnesium deficiency to me. This is not normal for week 4 i can't beleive everyone is saying it is. You should expect normal yellowing to start occurring around week 6.

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

7 weeks from the switch to 12/12. I don't understand why any indoor grower would ever consider the start of flowering to be when flowers start appearing because it doesnt happen in one day it happens gradually. I guess if you had an auto flower strain you'd have no choice.

Plant too yellow in week 7 flowering

Me too. I'm on flower week 7 exactly, some areas of the canopy are yellowing quite excessively and others are still quite green. I also have few brown pistills, probably about 5% brown at this stage which is slightly concerning. I just hope they ripen before the yellowing starts making its way...

Are red pistills a sign of a problem?

Im pretty sure its ok, but just want to check. Day 31 of flower (week 4.3). Strain is unknown.

    Soil runoff pH problem

Is that for hydro or soil? Because for reasons unknown to me, apparently you want lower pH for hydro and higher for soil. What's going in has a pH of 7. Always. But what comes out is a pH of less than 6, and it is getting worse and worse (more acidic) each time i water. For what you are saying...

Cheers that does help me, thanks. Although hopefully someone else can confirm this!

    Soil runoff pH problem

Its borderline... but i think it might even be a bit worse than 6. The fact that i am seeing what looks like nutrient deficiencies indicates that there is a problem and i am pretty sure the pH is the problem. I've had this issue before later in flower but never did anything about it. I really...

    Soil runoff pH problem

My plants are 3 weeks into flower. They are looking pretty good, but after noticing that they were starting to look a bit off over the last few days i did a soil water runoff test and the pH was at 6, possibly even a bit lower. Anything that goes into the soil is always pH adjusted to around...

Changing the light cycle 3 weeks into flower

My light cycle is currently 8am to 8pm and i need to switch it to be on at night and off during the day because the days are getting too hot. To switch i need to have one of the periods go for 24 hours should that be the day or night period? Im guessing night?

    Low Stress Training (LST) Guide

Yeah its a good amount and it looks the part but to be honest i think its a few too many tops for just 4 plants. Alot of the stems are pretty thin due to the topping, next time i'll only do it on the main branches which are thick enough to handle it. Anyway, thanks for posting. The importance...

    Low Stress Training (LST) Guide

I've always topped my plants, often times heavily, and never had a hermie. My experience tells me that its not as high risk as you might think. LST is without a doubt the best way to maximize yeild. I continue to tie back branches (sometimes to keep them upright during the later stages) all the...

600watt for veg 1000watt for flower

Increased heat is something not all of us can or want to have to deal with... I know 2 x 600watt lights is better than a single 1000 watt, but i'm talking about single light setups only here.
