Heavy and dense bud normally scars me. But the Maine weather has outstanding for the last six weeks or so. This one will be chopped the 2nd week of October, barring any unforeseen issues.

Is this looking on track going into week 6?

That doesn’t look like bud rot, looks like a maturing plant from the pictures. You’ll know rot when you see it, your sugar leaves will die on the rotted bud too. Peroxide is your friend.

    Outdoor light leakage

That amount of lighting shouldn’t affect them, a 30 or 60 watt bulb inside is nothing, even near the window. Think about when the moon is full. Headlights, unless you park for hours with them on in front of the plants, same deal. To much light will cause revert, you’ll know it if that was the...

Same here, stretch is pretty much done. My Oreoz is in the third week of real flower, starting to stack up nicely. Still waiting on the Mai tais to kick in.

It’s been about a month since I posted any updates. Things are moving along fairly nicely here in southern Maine. The stretch should be starting in another week or two. The Oreo will be a big plant when it’s done. The Mai Tais are looking ok, first time growing them.

I am in Maine and have never had any problems with rain other than too much in the fall. I wouldn’t stress out over acid rain. As far as topping, I would not do anything once the stretch starts.

the rainwater yesterday seemed to absolutely love it, noticeably greener afterwards.. Lastly, what do you guys do to prevent/control Septoria Leaf Spot? So far so good, i’m just concerned for the future, especially during the flowering months. I know it only effects foliage and pretty much it’s...

That is a large leaf, talk about a solar panel. If that plant was in the ground it would a big one. Clones can get just as robust as plants grown from seed.

Here’s what I have going this year. The tallest one is an Orezo the other three are all Mai Tai. The two smaller ones had a rough start. I didn’t harden them up enough before putting them in. They have turned around in the past couple weeks though.

About the same, six weeks or so. A frost or two won't hurt anything as long as it warms up during the morning. It's a hard freeze that will do the damage. I am in Maine and have had many frosty mornings over the years and things are fine.
