    LED is the way to go. It produces only green light and won't effect the photoperiod. You could leave it on day and night and it wouldn't make a difference.

    Steelhead don't come from the Great Lakes. They're native to the Pacific Northwest and we're introduced to the Great Lakes the same as Chinook Salmon.

    Just check the weight of the pot. You'll eventually end up letting them ho long enough that they start to wilt. It's nit really a big deal but I prefer to avoid it watering just before it happens. It is a good way to find out how light the pot gets at that point and over time you'll learn when...
