    The Ideal spectrum.

I live in a place where climate is something crazy.... but usually humidity is quite low about 40% or similar if is not rainy.. I have to add water with ultrasonic piezielectric device at least until a decent canopy cover the tent... In veg I like to be in the 65-70% range ...in flower from 65...

For me..the problem always happens mainly in upper leaves...And usually not in low light conditions.. it start in veg mode at some point...is like if I up light intensity and the vpd is not correct..it appears... I think that...is nutrient related in some way...but not directly.. I mean...Not...

    The Ideal spectrum.

It doesnt matter the nutes ...In this case i was using megacrop..but it happens me before with dynagro...is not the nutes...is some kind of lock out due to transpiration issues...that is related to leaf temps... I solved this not changing the nutes even a ppm...only raising temps and rh...

    The Ideal spectrum.

After seeing all these nices curves...Seems most of us are lacking light in the Violet zone.... and also infrarred. I am assuming Far red, UVA and UVB are easily added using exotic leds or fluorescent tubes...

    The Ideal spectrum.

The evil problem.... Always in veg, IMHO not related to cal-mag defficiencies...I solved it always quickly raising temps and maintaining a correct VPD... This problem I think is caused by the lack of infrarred radiation in leds...so leaf temps are not adecuate..the problem stop when I raise...

    How much uv-a?

I am using it whole period. Sun gives Uva all seasons...and in my latitude even more in vegetative mode...It will help to control internodal distance also. If in veg your main light intensity is lower, try to lower the UVA driving the leds at lower amperage

    How much uv-a?

For a total 32 square foot... 44 watts of UVA... In my opinion...I would use more...lets say about 5 % - 7% of main light used minimum.... But of course you can use less. UVA in natural light is about 7% ...also it depends of location and altitude and time of the year... I would use in veg and...

    Led Users Unite!

It is phony to see the use of the word quantum used in almost any type of brand or merchandising since some years ago...seems that if you use the word quantum in your product, then the future customer receives like a subconscious message that tells him..:this thing is high tech...is the...

    UV Suppliment Lighting

So...260-280 is less suitable for our intentions than 285 (in fact plants need more exposition time that 285) and also is worst for our health...and probably the plants health too...thanks for the graphic.

    UV Suppliment Lighting

This UV led from cutter... https://www.cutter.com.au/product/cu-20str-uvc-280/ Is 260-280 nm....This is almost germicidal!...maybe too dangerous to mess with it...this is UVC ..not UVB...maybe 1 per square foot 20 minutes a day lol

Co2 for last few weeks of flowering?

Have to say that in one crop I used same sativa clones...and one of them was directly under CO2 tubes from yeast fermentation...I should have put the CO2 better distributed cause that clone was about 10 days younger than the others at flowering time...I was mad about the reasons…(looking for...

660 or 720 nm to wake up the plants?

I remember that Randomblame wrote about accumulative effects of far red...I mean..if you add more watts..the effect increase... but there is a point where shade avoidance response appears...also different varieties should react different...Anyway...seems that the correct use of far red for EOD...

Well..I wrote few post ago some information about other threat in this forum where some reputable member (randomblame) noticed that more than 1 watt per square meter during 5 minutes is needed for an effective EOD. Also I have my own experience of course.

I have been using far red for several years… I dont remember exactly.. probably about 6 years. I had very good results and also crazy elongations...but always for timer malfunctions or using the far red in a wrong way. Initially I used too much althought the leds were epistar ones.. right now I...
