With the dimmer switch I hooked up the purple wire to the positive and the Grey wire to the negative then I just capped the yellow. It doesn't draw the full 217-220 on my kilo-watt anymore it's like 195ish (that's on 1 driver) but I won't be running full out anyway

Project complete dimmer works great! All together I have about 10 hrs into it not bad for a guy who knew absolutely nothing a month ago. Moral of the story if I can do this anyone can.

So the 1-10v dimmer switch I got from cutter won't work?

No worries I didn't take it that way I know I ask a lot of questions but its only because I want to learn and understand what I'm working with I'll definitely be reading everything I can find on the sites you recommended and I greatly appreciate all the help

This may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask anyway so go easy on me. If I plug both drivers into a power strip and plug that into a fan speed controller can I dim them that way or would it have a negative impact on the fixture

Hey mark can I use 1 of the 1-10v dimmers on 2 of the LGSU1400D or do I have to use 1 per driver? I did order 2 of them just figured if I could use only 1 it would make life a bit easier when I adjusted the lights
