by the way, the best way to dispurse those clumps is to use an ultrasonic cleaner and imerse the syring in that. A few minutes to hapf an hour works just fine. I always use one with syringes but it has been a while

Well, for me anyway, I run three reactive hepa systems and an electrostatic. Tests show that the spore load in the room is about the same whether I use them or not. It's lower in a sphere of about two feet from each but not a whole lot. The room is not hermetically sealed.

Is that laminar? Remember that it is the smooth flow of air that keeps particulates out of your work. Turbulence will invite contamination on plates and such.

I just watched it again, it's not quite what I described but what is to keep one from simply attaching a needle to the end of the tube and just using that as your inoculation syringe rather than filling individual syringes? Replace the needle after so many innculations.

I like just using a drop or two of food coloring. Very handy for organization and the more whispy mycelium.

Well they make a sort of self filling, "dosing" syringe setup ( was that ctually what i saw in the vid? Duno) that I have had my eye on for along time i think they are repeated pipettors but 60 ml syringes will allow 12 bags to be adequately innoculated. There are what? 150's? 160's out...
