    DIY THC/CBD Topicals

I make topicals using coconut oil and decarbed trim in a crockpot. I am planning to experiment with adding shea butter so that it won’t turn liquid at room temperature in the summer. I prefer to “rinse” the trim with water before infusing it in oil because this will remove some of the...

Back to the ‘70s: Did anyone ever actually try grafting cannabis to hops to fool the narcs?

I have seen it mentioned but don’t know any details. I think I read something about weed that has leaves shaped like duck feet, which might be harder for cops to recognize. I’m lucky to live where I don’t have to worry about the police bothering me.

    Extractions at home

We have been using pure ethanol for extracts for a few years. My wife has recently been using the Magical Butter Machine to make glycerin extracts also. We also use coconut oil in a crockpot to make topicals and some edibles. We also started freezing trim before rubbing it over a screen to...

Back to the ‘70s: Did anyone ever actually try grafting cannabis to hops to fool the narcs?

I can remember reading articles in High Times or other hippie publications about how hops and cannabis are supposed to be closely related. Because people knew barely enough to recognize the shape of a cannabis leaf, some geniuses thought it would be a good idea to graft one branch of a cannabis...

Whole Garden Destroyed | Septoria Outbreak?

If I was a cop, septoria would not be on the top of my list of suspects, especially for a new indoor grow. But it’s a good reason for keeping dead leaves out of the space. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/us/blog-leaf-septoria-yellow-leaf-spot-on-cannabis-plants-n678

    Seeds?

Plain water is supposed to be the enemy of pollen, isn’t it? If you just give the area a misting with a spray bottle, that might be enough destroy any pollen grains that are sticking to surfaces.

    Is this over riped?

Like it’s a “textbook case” of a plant that’s ready to harvest.

What would you do with this plant ?

“Nut burn” is nasty but you don’t need to worry about either of those plants. Don’t use bath oil for lubricant if you want to avoid future cases of nut burn.

    Is this over riped?

My wife agrees that it’s time to harvest. “Textbook” she says.

    seeds for sale or trade.

You got Godfather? I have been running the MTG Godfather Purps for years and I hate the way it smells when it’s drying! I grew the MTG Godfather and really enjoyed it, but I didn’t breed any seeds and then MTG discontinued the strain. I am not crazy about the Purps version but I have a bunch of...

    Potency breeding.

I am just getting started with trying to breed. A while back I had a male Cherry Pie (GDP X Durban) that I used to pollinate a female Gelato that I grew from a freebie seed. It resulted in plants that were more potent and dank than either parent. I hope to keep working on this hybrid. So far I...

Should i wait 2 or 3 more weeks to harvest?

My wife says wait at least 5-7 days.

what is your favorite germination method?…and why

I just dropped a baby food jar that I was soaking seeds in and three out of four went down the garbage disposal drain in the sink. My wife was able to save them somehow. I hate dropping seeds! I drop the damn things all the time, especially when trying to germinate! I have been trying to soak...

    Chinese nationals caught growing... again

    Seed donations?

This is just some of the seeds I have produced. Most of what I am growing now is hybrids I have created. I am running OG Kush clones and some Orange Burmese plants from Equilibrium seeds but it has become hard to get any outside beans or clones because of the damn pandemic and customs seizures.

    Seed donations?

This is completely new to me and it seems like a good idea. I happen to have a bunch of seeds that I kind of accidentally created while messing around with my hobby weed. At this point, I probably have more than I will ever be able to plant in my tiny grow tent and closet. I did a quick Google...

What do you guys do with sugar leaves?

Decarb and infuse in coconut oil or use pure ethanol to make an extract that can be drunk. We are also starting to do glycerin extracts using a Magical Butter gizmo. The low-grade trim can be used to make topical ointments that are good for pain. Edited to add: a crock pot is your friend.

Fire at “cannabis operation” in downtown LA

    >>LAFD also stated that four of the first firefighters experienced an “unexpected burning sensation” on their faces. They were taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition as part of the department’s protocol.<< Like I said, a cannabis fire is probably different from other conflagrations. Hope...

Fire at “cannabis operation” in downtown LA

This doesn’t say if it was a grow facility or if they were storing plant material or making extracts. General observation: Cannabis burns hot. I’m guessing that it presents unique challenges for firefighters. If I was running a big operation I would not skimp on fire safety...
