No experience with Mammoth, recharge seemed to help with soil and coco grows but I didn't like the staining it produced in my hydro system. I run Tribus original I have also begun using Power-Si this run to see if it helps promote stiffer growth. So far, results have been encouraging.

The Vivosun square 3-gal bags are what I use. Plants seem to be very happy in them. I do get some crusting on the lower exterior from the 3-2-1, but it doesn't seem to have any adverse effects.

I just use a colander to rinse the hydroton before using(reusing) with water. I think that I'm still using the same hydroton from 5 years ago.
