sounds cool... can sow bugs bring any negative effects to the indoor grow? I like the idea of having them in the mix.

    Watering and Living Soil

Thanks for the advice! I have some perlite sitting around, I'll add some to the soil. Would you recommend a living mulch like white dutch clover, or advise against it? I was thinking about trying a combination of tree moss, decomposing leaves, and living white dutch clover.

    Watering and Living Soil

I've always been under the impression that you want the soil to dry out between waterings. After two successful grows, this is how I've always done it. But the more I read into organics and living soil, I keep hearing that when the soil dries out, the microbe activity slows or decreases...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

This is my plan, how does it look? Am I missing anything or adding too much or too little of anything? If I can't find local worm castings, should I just replace them with more horse manure compost? - 3 cubic feet of Perlite - 3 cubic feet of Sphagnum Peat Moss - 2 cubic feet of compost from...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

I decided to go with the ClakamasCoots recipe: http://buildasoil.com/products/the-clackamas-kit With this as my base, should anything else be added that's missing? When "cooking" the soil, should it be within a certain temperature range? Is 32-50 degrees too cold? Do low temps just make the...

KIS Organics state on their website: "Our composts are not pre-packaged so we can provide the freshest compost possible." I can pick up from them locally. Checking craigslist I found some free "organic compost from 99% horse manure" with "no acidic shavings" Thanks for the help!

Thank you. I was thinking of 10 gallons of compost rather than 5? I'm not sure if I should use Alaska Humus, Fungal Compost, worm castings, or a balanced mix of them all... - http://www.kisorganics.com/products/shop/alaska-humus -...

    Worm Castings Tea Question

I started a brew with 3 gallons of dechlorinated water, 3 tablespoons of unsulfured blackstrap molasses, and 1 cup of fresh worm castings. I plan on watering it to my 3 week old clones at half strength after it's brewed for 24-36 hours. However, I want to use it on some plants that need...

    Organic LED Multi-Strain Medical Grow - Area 51 XGS-190 + Vipar 96x3w Panels

Here's the final update. All of the plants have been harvested, dried, and are now in the curing process. Overall, I am VERY happy with the results. But most of all - the quality. This is some of the most potent, stickiest, tastiest, and smelliest bud I've ever had. Growing your own is really...

This is what I get for buying a cheap Chinese LED - TaoTronics TT-GL14

If you've been browsing around the LED forum here for a bit, you've probably heard the advice from many of the pros - "stay away from the cheap Chinese LED panels" Sure they work. They grow plants, but they also aren't made well. I noticed burning on and around a couple of the diodes. Definitely...

    When to use Boveda Packs?

Everywhere I've read says not to overdry your buds, so I'm kind of scared to leave them on the drying rack for too long. I gave the buds 5 days to dry in a dark room @ 65-69 degrees and 55-63% humidity. They're crisp but still a little soft on the inside so I put them in the jars with a Boveda...

    When to use Boveda Packs?

I bought the Boveda 62 packs to use for curing. Are you supposed to use them immediately, or after the first week or two? For the first week of curing, is it okay to have the humidity within the jar between 65-69% and then drop it to 62 with the Boveda packs on week two? Or should the Boveda...

    Organic LED Multi-Strain Medical Grow - Area 51 XGS-190 + Vipar 96x3w Panels

Maple Leaf Indica came down a couple nights ago. They're in the drying room and then they'll be curing after i cut the buds off the stems. I got about a 1/2 gallon Ziploc bag full of sugary fluff bud/trim too. Not a very impressive yield bud I don't care! The other strains that are almost done...

OK. good. I initially thought so, but I was wondering if I missed it all along and that's why my flowering plant showed signs of hermi in late flower. Thanks :)
