Good to know about the captain jacks. I know the spinosad works. A buddy gave me some in a mason jar, lol. I just saw that the capt had spinosad on the label when i passed it a couple days ago.

A website i saw said it does not kill thrips. Plus it has a 45 day residual. Spinosad does tho. That captn jacks dead bug at lowes ($8) kills thrips.

If you're aiming for 50-60w/sq.ft @ 47.5 sq.ft, you'll need between 2375 and 2850 watts. Like MistaRasta said, run two 1000's. If you plan on using every inch of that space (and why wouldn't you, lol) and if you can cool them, three 1000's would have it jumping. But that may be a lot of heat.
