What's the cost on the fan and air-cooled hood? Plus the replacement of those air-cooled hoods those don't come for free those costs have to be factored in it could probably double the cost of running hps vs the cheapest hood available... I was really hoping someone would try to say this I love...

You can get a top of the line already built led that will grow a few oz for $100 imo that sounds perfect for a first time grower. You won't be filling out a 4x4 but you could get yourself an oz a month using a 65w led that costs 100. It only gets expensive when you try to light a big space.
