Am I right assuming this is light burn?

Yeah they are a little bit. They don’t feel “soft” like a healthy leaf. And Fox Farms Big Bloom and Grow Big with CalMag. Mixing in about 25% strength to get ~430 ppm. Last feeding was with 4000ml of total water ph’d to 6.55. It’s in a 5 gallon container.

Am I right assuming this is light burn?

Growing under a QB. It’s a Fast Buds GSC auto at day 37. Have a total of 3 growing and the other two aren’t this sensitive to the height. This is my only plant I have that is showing what I think is light stress. Temps are usually at 79f. Been feeding and watering at 6.4-6.6ph and never over...

What is the best PPFD for veg and flower?

    Solid info. Thank you.

What is the best PPFD for veg and flower?

I have a 5 gallon yeast CO2 bucket that is on a shelf above my tent. An air line runs from the sealed bucket to a floor fan. I have about 3 gallons of sugar water and yeast mixture in the bucket. It gets changed 2 weeks. I don’t have a CO2 meter so I can’t test the tent levels, but I do know...

What is the best PPFD for veg and flower?

My GSC’s all are slowly getting lighter tips from more light, but a couple other strains don’t mind. Very interesting. Awesome info. My light is capable of hitting these numbers, I’ve just been hesitant on bumping any of them over ~630. I started them for 3 weeks under a COB, and when I...

What is the best PPFD for veg and flower?

Currently been using a meter to check the PPFD at the canopy, and I am getting between 420 - 620 PPFD at the current lights height in a 3 x 2 area. I have not been measuring height, instead the PPFD at my plants and then making adjustments on that. I have two autos in flower right now, and a...

Container size and Topping experiment on 3 Fast Buds GSC’s

Ahh good looking out. Just did that and will keep it in mind. Thanks!

Container size and Topping experiment on 3 Fast Buds GSC’s

Plants on 6/4/20 I’ve seen a lot of back-and-forth about topping autoflower strains. I couldn’t really get anything definitive for it either way, so I decided to find out on my own. It seems though that most everyone can agree LST is the way to go. I’ve done it, and my plants have responded...

    Help identifying brown spot issues

@Greenthumblady thanks for the reply. I have a digital soil ph meter along with a calibrated water ph meter. Run off is around 6.8-7ph and I’m usually watering in around 6.5ph. I’ve assumed this run off ph is bumped up due to the dolomite lime buffer. I’ve been told that a .5 or so difference in...

    Help identifying brown spot issues

Hey there. This autoflower is currently at week 6. I started it about two weeks ahead of my main 4 plants to use it as a test plant to try and figure out the feeding schedule and the soil itself. Figured if I ran into issues a couple weeks ahead of my others, I could maybe be more proactive...

    Yellowing new growth leaf tips

Soil is FFOF with 30% perlite and amended with dolomite. Have not fed any nutrients other than CalMag @ 1ml per liter of water for every other watering. Always ph’d to 6.4-6.6 and about 180ppm. Hadn’t had any issues with that for 3 weeks. Currently sitting at day 23-28 with these plants. Canopy...

Could adding a more intense light cause nitrogen toxicity from the increased photosynthesis?

Bump. The plants seem to be clearing up on some of the lowest growth after moving my light up now that it’s been a day. I guess they are acclimating. Still curious about this however!

Could adding a more intense light cause nitrogen toxicity from the increased photosynthesis?

I’m almost in week 4 on a few autos. I’ve been having this clawing issue in my new growth that started to appear after this past weekend when I got a new light. I replaced a 265w (actual) COB led with a 200w QB. Fora couple days, I left the light at 28in and then Monday evening I lowered it...

Runoff testing around .5-.7 higher ph than water going in

@xtsho thanks a lot brother. I’d rather not do the run around trying to match my runoff to my water-in. Thanks for the advice, puts my worrying mind to rest. Happy growing.

Runoff testing around .5-.7 higher ph than water going in

Hey guys, just have a quick question. I am running FFOF amended with 1cup of dolomite to a 1.5cu ft bag. I have been noticing that my runoff ph is around .5-.7 higher than water going in. Today for example, I watered in at 6.53ph / 155ppm (no nutes) and my runoff was sitting around 6.9-7.18...

Twisted and clawing leaves on new growth - really could use some help

@South_buff thanks for the replies man really appreciate it. I am leaning towards it being my light the more I research around. I've got it up at 28in currently and I am just going to leave it there. This 200w QB light replaced a 265w (actual) full spectrum COB, and this new QB is putting out so...

Bump. I’ve had another person on another website tell me that to them it seems like heat stress. Could it be?

Twisted and clawing leaves on new growth - really could use some help

I have two plants showing these issues. Here is the album of them both. Close ups: These two plants in particular are showing leaf tip curling and twisting on the newer growth. I had a fan directly pointed at them over the weekend because my house AC died and had to wait two days for the...

New growth leaves are twisting and curling at the tops

I’m starting to believe this has been caused by the nitrogen in the CalMag. From what I’ve seen around, I’m leaning towards that being the case. I’m discontinuing CalMag until I’m into flower. I pulled the water report for my city water and it was very low on Calcium so I figured shooting a half...
