    Exceedingly leafy plant any thoughts?

Thanks for the thoughts. I wasn’t fretting terribly because I have 2 other plants. Just wanted some opinions so I stop poking at them to see what’s underneath.

    Exceedingly leafy plant any thoughts?

I’ve got a few grows under my belt now, at least enough that I have a general sense of what I’m doing, but haven’t seen this yet. These buds are overwhelmingly leafy on this plant. For people who have been doing this longer, I wonder if someone could give me a take on whether there is likely to...

    Chaotic LST SCARED 1st time

Nice. Glad to see it’s just practical usage and not a fetish.

    Chaotic LST SCARED 1st time

Since we are hitting spring dollar tree has plant ties, and they have a pretty thick soft coating. You can do a whole kinky plant bondage thing for like 2 dollars if that’s your freak. It’s worth a dollar or two even if it isn’t.

Who's Got The Fostiest Buds? Let's See How Frosty A Bud Can Really Get?

Pineapple kush 4 weeks in. I’m optimistic.

To be honest damned if I know on the blend. I’ll see if my wife knows. The felt basically acts as a capillary mat but at an incredibly cheap price point. I think it would work with grow bags too. I tried those and you are right the roots actually grew out of the bag and down into the felt. I’ll...

Flood table new grow- Fill with hydroton or stick with net pot or bags?

Sounds like an interesting set up. Part of the fun of this is rigging things up. Makes me feel all mechanically competent. We just buy felt from Joanne’s fabrics. Probably the only reason I would ever set foot in one of those. It’s probably the most un-guy store ever opened, and will be until...

Flood table new grow- Fill with hydroton or stick with net pot or bags?

I think the idea is it’s supposed to create a better environment for the roots. The felt holds some moisture and the roots grow like crazy through the felt. I saw it on a YouTube video and it’s worked well for me so far.

Flood table new grow- Fill with hydroton or stick with net pot or bags?

I really don’t see a benefit. I can’t say there isn’t one I’m missing. I don’t think the neotpots really inhibit anything. There are plenty of gaps for roots to emerge. I guess one difference is that all of the roots are in hydroton when you fill the table with it. In my case I line the table...

Flood table new grow- Fill with hydroton or stick with net pot or bags?

I think filling the whole tray would result in either a nightmare effort to clean the hydroton after your grow or an expensive proposition to throw it away and start new. Personally I would rather do just about anything than clean root bits out of 16 cubic feet of clay pebbles every 4 months. I...

    Trying to get there...

You don’t necessarily need distilled. I’m using RO water for this grow for the first time. I’m only doing it because my TDS out of the tap is kind of high at 300, and I’ve had some salt build up. I wanted to see if RO would help with that. If you use distilled or RO you would probably need...

    Trying to get there...

LST = low stress training. At its simplest it means bending stems and tying them down to reduce height. I imagine you will want to top them for the same reason. There are plenty of explanations out there if you do a quick search. Botanicare does do hydroguard. I’ve had good luck with it myself...

    Help! Noob here...

More detail would help here, but just based on the picture with the leaf spotting it looks a lot like a calcium deficiency. You should provide more info if you want better answers.

    Favorite humidity level for Flowering?

I start at 50 for flower and slowly drop it. I’m 3 weeks in at 46%. It will probably stay there for awhile but ultimately drop to about 40 towards the end. 77% sounds like a number proposed by the lobbying arm of the international society for bud rot.

    Best way to manage space

Mostly it was either there was nowhere to bend them to because they didn’t go far enough up beyond the scrog or bending them would cover other stuff I wanted exposed. The plants there are about 3 weeks into flower and I’m still bending them a little, but that is starting to end because stretch...

    Best way to manage space

It’s hard for me to say as I’m not in your grow room. Generally speaking though you want to manipulate the plant to keep as even a canopy as possible. The goal is to get more light on your buds. If you think training it reduces the overall light your buds get then don’t do it. If it increases...

    Best way to manage space

Plants look fine insofar as you can tell with the blurples. Ideally you want a flat canopy so all of the bud sites get the same amount of light. I would keep tying them down to keep that canopy even.

    Trying to get there...

Well first cheese has some height per seedsman. Haven’t grown it but they list height at 300cm or about 60 inches I believe. You have to account for the height of the pot, the gap between the lights and the plant and some allowance for hanging height. The vertical space is eaten up pretty...
