Definitely..but I should clarify...I would use MH bulb with the 2 400s.. The blue wavelength has the deepest penetration before being absorbed by plants...but at the same time...I think veg time plays a big factor as well...BUT YES..if he goes with HPS he WILL NEED all the wattage he can...

I personally would go with 2 400s ( out of the options given )spaced properly for shared lighting.. which just might give you better control over the environment...Happy Grows!

Why can't or doesn't a plant use Uv light for photosynthesis???... Because UV LIGHT isn't as important as most make it...BLUE ..the deepest traveling wavelength (PENETRATION) before it's absorbed....GO BLUE..Happy Grows!

Lush lighting is NOT LACKING infared .. higher temps just means the ENVIRONMENT is hot...and EVERYTHING else.... TRY a cooler ENVIRONMENT...with your LEAF temps at 80f or more..and more BLUE and WHITE....you MAY need a LUSH LIGHT for THAT...Happy Grows!

So NOW ( HALFWAY through it's light cycle a day After the FEED(4th day of flower) ..I NEED ALL THAT DOWN LOW...AND I NEED IT NOW!!!..4th day of flower...BEFORE and AFTER.....the snipping of the tips of the leaves , majority of them (90%) on EACH PLANT .. HAPPY GROWS!

Can YOUR LED DIODES put YOUR LEAF TEMP AT 80F...with the room a cool 75 to 77F?...If not ...YOU should find one that does... I don't care what brand YOU choose...but ONLY LUSH LIGHTING has done THAT for me....and I BOUGHT MINE..(funny story behind that as well. Lol)..And TESTED PLENTY... Also...

It depends on the length of the cut in MY experience...when I did an inch or more ...it seems to SLOW TREMENDOUSLY...AS FAR AS THE TOP of the plant...yet MY ROOTS were BIGGER....so I had to play around with multiple runs and strains..to find that.THAT HALF INCH OFF THE TIPS DIDN'T SLOW MY...

You might be able to see in the pics..but I cut some tips of leaves throughout each plant... for MUCH BETTER TRANSPIRATION...SEE ATTACHMENT... WOULDN'T YOU LOVE TO MAKE YOUR PLANT DO IT EVEN....AND FEED EVEN MORE ...JUST BECAUSE YOU SAY SO...HAPPY GROWS!

Also... would how a plant reacts to training (lst, topping, fim, AMOUMT OF NUTRIENTS ( BECAUSE OF COURSE IN THE HINDU MOUNTAINS THEY GET FED 1000 PPM ON THE REGULAR)...ETC... AMOUNT OF LIGHT THAT IT WILL ACCEPT..( MIN/ MAX). WOULD THAT BE STRAIN DEPENDANT???.... OR WOULD THAT BE EVOLUTION...
