Need recommendations for High pressure misters

Another question: What kind of water lines should I use? I ordered 1/4" John Guest water line which is made for the HP John Guest fittings I'm getting. The pump runs at about 90 psi if I run 6 sprayers. Also, should I put in a solenoid to prevent overmist (continued spraying after the pump...

Newbie: What's wrong with my leaves

Looks like mites to me. Might be some other kind of bug. What kind of setup are you running? If it isn't bugs, foliar feed them with a complete fertilizer. The kind you would use for hydroponics.

Insulate your res with that silver bubble wrap duct insulation they sell at the hardware store. It's cheap and works really well. Wrap it around a couple times works even better.

Need help with bugs? Have spider mites and gnats?

If there are no dead roots to feed on, the gnat larve will start eating healthy roots. Some cedar chips from the hardware store on top of the soil or hydroton will keep the adults away. You can also use those yellow sticky things that stick in the soil to get adults. Diadmacous earth...

    Black patches on clones

The black comes from keeping them in high humidity for too long. You can delay this rot by watering and misting them with a little hydrogen peroxide water, say every other day. Dont have them sealed under the dome for longer than a week, after a week open the vents.

    Best Reservoirs???

The tote has to be thick strong plastic. The thinner plastic totes bow out when they are filled with water. They are not made for that much pressure/weight. The tough boxes can handle it. In one system I use a tough box with a 45 gallon gallon trash bin for top off. Smallish reservoir, but...

    Cleaning a commercialy made chiller

Hey all, The chiller I got has instructions saying to clean it every four months with either water or expensive flushing solution. I found some better cleaning instructions on a reef site. Do this every two months. What you need: A 5 gallon bucket 1 gallon white vinegar 2 gallons water Mix...

    Broad mites, please help

This is all you can do while they are flowering. Mighty wash them. If you want to kill them forever get some Forbid 4f. Get the smallest possible amount you can find on ebay. Usually you can find a few ml of it there for 15-25$. 1 ml makes a gallon of very strong spray. Two gallons of...

Azamax - Floramite - Avid - spider mite miticides. Any info?

There is one way to kill them eggs and all in one shot. Forbid 4f. Forbid 4f is so strong you dont even have to spray the undersides of the leaves. Just spray it ON the leaves and it kills eggs and mites right through the leaves. Because it works systemically, it can only be used in...

what would you say cause this?

Magnesium deficiency. Give them some epsom salts in their water. Are you doing hydroponics? If so give them Epsom salts at 20 ppm twice a week. You could also get some cal mag, and give it to them 80 ppm once a week. This is definately magnesium deficiency which is normal in late budding in...

    Clone with spider mites ?

This is exactly correct. Whenever you bring plants in from outside, you risk infecting your whole operation. They need to be put into isolation sealed off from the rest of your plants for at least a few days and treated. I use Forbid 4f because it kills mites and eggs whenever something is...

Very bad mite infection, now also leaves drop

They look water logged. You need to transplant them into a bigger pot with fresh soil. Let them dry out almost completely between watering. Putting a bit of hydrogen peroxide in the water would help them too. As for mites, get some forbid 4f on ebay and they will be gone for eternity.

Spider mites , any home made brews please HELP

I gave up on the 'eco' remedies long ago. They might drive the adults away for a while, but do nothing for the eggs, thus it never ends. I started using forbid 4f and problem solved, with a single application. It is systemic, so it cant be used during flowering. You just spray it on the...
