    $1000 Indoor Grow Room

Are you growing in the center of an empty room, a closet, or a cabinet?

    light phase question

My strategy will change a bit when I eventually come up with the cash for a 1000w ballast and bulb; the 400w just doesn't penetrate well enough to raise the light off the plants I care about. Dunno if my exhaust system is strong enough to keep the hood glass cool with that much fire burning anyway.

    Clone Conspiracy in California??!!

I don't mean to weigh in on the clone of a clone of a clone degeneration debate, but isn't it possible that the clones are from people keeping specific mothers alive long enough to degenerate? Cannabis doesn't live forever; if you clone a 10 year old plant you might inherit the frailty of old age.

    perpetual havests?

I only grow in soil, so things are less urgent/hectic in my garden. I suppose selection isnt improved over growing 12 different plants of 12 different strains all at once, but they're not going to finish at the same time, so you're not harvesting all at once in that scenario. seriously, the...

    perpetual havests?

didnt say he cloned the autos, just that he could grow them with the moms. I perpetual harvest because I care more about selection than yield.. I can flower 12 at once, I put a clone of the type of whichever jar is the lowest once per week, and take one out of the cloner to veg once per week...

The best DIY EZ walmart DWC CLONER for MICRO grows. Zen style

I've got the same question, does the tip hang above the water or stick into the water? Since the bubble mist keeps the bottoms moist, both methods will work- but which is more optimal? I've got one of these with four sites, I think I'll try two each way and see which roots faster.

    light phase question

I've heard that plants double in height during the first phase of flowering, but I've never witnessed it. That might be because I yank anything that gets taller than whatever indica looking gems I happen to be growing at the time. Might have something to do with the fact that the 400w MH I'm...

I don't know, but if that's a possibility that blows my control group- because I'm not going to overcut my white berries for the sake of science ;)

    24 hr Darkness b4 Harvest!

Speaking of instacoma, assuming you harvest when the trichs look like you want them to, how many more are going to turn amber while she sits in the dark? Ya, they're going to be a little different, but if that's the flavor of different you're looking for then wait for more amber to show up in...

    light phase question

No pinching, pruning or topping of any kind was done to these particular ladies after they started 12/12. I did cut quite a few arms off the week before flipping the lights, my cloning is unsure so I took more cuttings than should've been necessary. I've never heard of that kind of injury...

1st grow WhiteWidow, 4weeks in Flower, No buds?

First mistake is topping after putting her on 12/12, she doesn't need that kind of stress once you flip the lights. That's not to say you can't do it, people always say you can cut clones 2 weeks into 12/12- but they say that because the clones don't have to revert to veg mode before starting...

    light phase question

I'd guess the ww's were about 30 inches tall when I flipped the lights and they finished around 3 feet. Note though, that while they all had some hermie traits, the one I ended up cloning for motherhood produced only a banana or two after flowering for almost four weeks. The most extremely...

I've seen five of five greenhouse seeds feminised white widow show some level of hermie under what I'd call near perfect conditions, but I can't yet rule out bad seds. However, I just met five feminised paradise seeds white berry babies that will live their lives under the same conditions, so...

    Seedlings Keep Falling Over!

clear cups are a good idea so you can see when they're rootbound and need to be repotted- but put the clear cup inside a colored cup to keep lights off of the roots.

    light phase question

Plants will preflower during veg regardless of light, it'll happen shortly after you see alternating nodes. Bushiness (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with the hermie trait as far as I know. There's no way feminised plants could yield LESS hermies, but I'm talking about plants turning...

    light phase question

My theory on why the world is seeing so many hermies lately is the increase in use of feminised seeds. Nearly every feminised plant I've seen grown to maturity develops at least a banana or two, and many going full hermie in mid flower. A single banana isn't enough to stop anyone's heart...
