I wouldnt use it. Its a very common food additive and its the stuff they make Tums antacids with. Just get some Cal/Mg if you really need calcium....What are you growing in? Soil. Dro. Outdoors?

There should be an expiration date somewhere on the seeds. Just use a microscope to see it. But on a serious note. Seeds last several years without properly storing them. Put them in the freezer or fridge and they will last decades....
