Here's a great site, http://aapfco.org/metals.htm you can look up the metal content of your nutes. There is three sites Cali, Wash St. and Oregon. Some very interesting stuff. Plus it shows most of the guaranteed analysis of the products.

Look at nute mixture before you put it in or mix it in a gallon before you put it in and make a note of the color. Those nice white roots are just waiting for something to stain them. They are a blank canvas!

Well that's a different kind your talking about. There is veg flushing which is getting rid of nute lock or even just flushing the plant 3-5 times the pot volume, then there is flowering flushing which occurs in the final week. Same principle of removing salts or nutes but it is the final time...

Well that fert is for orchids. It is better then nothing. You can pick up some dyna gro for 10-15 bucks and it would be better. That fert is really strong so make sure it is diluted before applying it. You can always add more but you can never take it out!

It's a removal of the salts that could be present in the plants at the end. It is done the last week of flowering.

What kind, brand. Sounds like it could be bad. Way to strong being a pellet. Need another way to control it. Like hidu said, dissolve it in water and then gently apply it.
