Why is it better to leave on more fan leaves

This is my first grow... somebody told me I should trim the fan leaves so the smaller leaves can get the light... should I take it easy next time?

I trimmed them a few days ago

Do these plants look cool for sherbet clones vegged for going on 3 weeks or can I do better for a beginner

I have sherbet clones from dark heart nursery

I don’t have anything to tell me the exact temp but i think it’s about 70-75 degrees in the tent , I have a carbon filter with a can fan pushing out the hot air with a regular fan circulating... I don’t know the humidity but I was told I can put a bowl of water in the middle of my tent to keep...

Can anybody give me any tips on how to make my plants look thicker and not skinny... or is that how they are suppose to look after 3 weeks veg under 600w hps
