    White spot on bud.

Looks like a bleached bud as was mentioned earlier. What light are you running? Also, can you take a photo showing the plant underneath the light? That would help us out

Growing with Gaia Green, what else is needed for the soil?

If you were mixing into soil as a stand alone, I would add at least 2 cups per cubic ft. If you’re adding it to one of their blended lines, I might only add 1 cup per cubic foot or soil.

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Here is a study review examining over 100 studies dating back over 80 years testing synthetic vs organic growing styles. Many side by sides, many long term plot studies. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/sustainable-food-systems/articles/10.3389/fsufs.2021.699147/full Just thought I’d drop...

Growing with Gaia Green, what else is needed for the soil?

Gaia pretty much also sells all of those amendments individually, so you can tailor your feed/ soil mineral content to your plants/growing environment. If you find their Grow & Bloom lines lacking in adequate Ca/Mg levels for your situation, it’s up to you to make those corrections. Your mileage...

Growing with Gaia Green, what else is needed for the soil?

Add some cal-mag supplement to your soil next time. Dolomite Lime , Glacial Rock Dust and Volcanic Rock Dust, are typically good ways to get more Magnesium into your plants diet, and gypsum/lime, oyster shell flour, and bone meal are great ways to get more Calcium into your soil. Just keep...

Sealed Tent, Living Soil & The Quest For Fire

Also, in the midst of all the nonsense that has happened over the past several weeks, I pulled the trigger on a OG Kush clone off of Strainly, as a backup plan. It’s supposedly legit genetics, so I’m stupid excited to try this out… when she is ready that is. The clone spent almost 4 days in...

Sealed Tent, Living Soil & The Quest For Fire

Sour D is still in its Foam Cup. I’ll likely Transplant it tomorrow. It’s definitely slower to root out, so I might have to work this plant over a few rounds to get her to cooperate. They say Sour D doesn’t like hot temps. Here she is flexing in 113F dry ass desert weather. Just starting to...

Sealed Tent, Living Soil & The Quest For Fire

So, I haven’t updated in a month.. a few things have happened. My Chiller unit died AGAIN just over 3 weeks ago which caused my tent to get up to 112 degrees and about 75% humidity while I was at work for who knows how long. The plants lived but that very same day, my Original Sour Diesel...

There is no holy grail of strain, but what would you chose?

I grew out a few bodhi packs including Fire OG x 88G13 Hashplant and Skywalker OG x Snow Lotus. Both strains were pretty unremarkable, and the “sky lotus” as it was called had a high rate of herm plants. Some people have good luck with Bodhi, but def not a sure thing.

    Soil ph pen?

I use this blue lab multimedia ph meter. The probe is replaceable if it ever breaks on you. Money well spent. https://www.bghydro.com/bluelab-multimedia-ph-meter-leap-probe-included.html?utm_source=google_shopping&srsltid=AfmBOordb8UjUwOXjcvZNnMr1gGZNcD5wUSmyo_FYVKOu8KnMXiFayvQSdc&gQT=1

    Water Chiller Recommendations

I’m doing the math on the total wattage BTU’s that I would need cooled and it’s closer to 7800 BTUs ( from about 2500W) that I would need to cool at full wattage in the tent. Which it would rarely ever be at full wattage, but I don’t want to run into any problems with underestimating the...

    Water Chiller Recommendations

This was actually one of brands I was looking to get, but I’m not sure what size I would need. I’m thinking 1-1/2 HP to be safe, but it might be overkill. If I could get away with the 1/3 HP unit, I totally would. I just don’t want it to be under sized either.I have an external pump I was using...

    5x5 set up...looking for ideas?

I think that the spectrum from the new Mammoth Nova Sun series looks pretty appealing. Not as much ppf as some other fixtures but if you end up dimming it anyways… maybe that’s not a big deal. https://mammothlighting.com/products/nova-sun-series-with-emerald-green-red-terp-boost-spectrum...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Peat moss and coco are considered soil-less media by themselves, which can and often times (in the case of coco) are used hydroponically. They both are not inert, and have very different Cation Exchange Capacities and ph buffering than say rockwool, perlite, expanded clay pebbles, or...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Sure, which is alluding to the point I’m trying to make. You might get different expressions from the exact same fertilizer on the exact same plant, using different media because of how the fertilizer reacts with said media. Some fertilizer companies even make different lines for soil, coco, or...
