    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

All synthetics? Will any nutrient line outshine an organic grow, despite wildly varying levels of mineral concentrations, ratios, and supplemental products. Are you following a feed schedule or using mad science to crops steer the plants? So you have tried all these lines out and they all...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

And another thing, I would love to hear anyone of you synthetic guys describe what your idea of organic growing is. So far, Observe & Report was the only one who seemed to have some idea of different organic methods, though he missed the most import which is organic No-Till gardening. So what...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Alright, let me get this straight... Are you guys saying that ANY/EVERY synthetic line will get you the results you are talking about? So… General Hydro, Botanicare, Fox Farm, Jacks, Maxigro, Dynagro ,Veg/Bloom, Cutting Edge, NPK, Dutch Pro, Flora Flex, Athena Ag, Canna, House & Garden, RX...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

Yeah dude, no home-grower has ever popped a seed that turned out better than what the breeder found…… You hear that everybody? You might as well zip up your tents, close your doors and turn off your lights. There’s no point in growing anymore. All the seeds you’ve boughten and hunted through...

Water and mineral are nutrients correct. This plant was doing great until transplant. I put it into a large 7 g, and it went downhill from there.

The brand new growth looks perky and is greening up. With a little TLC I would think that plant will do just fine, although it may be delayed from the stress episode. All good though, glad to see it on the right path.

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

I can read thank you. Which is why I responded by saying THC content doesn’t linearly translate to potency. That means the bigger number doesn’t always get you higher, in case your reading comprehension is lacking. I was making butane hash oil in 2013, I’ve done your little exercise many...

Water and mineral are nutrients correct. This plant was doing great until transplant. I put it into a large 7 g, and it went downhill from there.

Looks like it could definitely be transplant shock. I’d move it into a humid location 60-70% RH and put under low intensity light until it gets through it. And I also wouldn’t water again until the pot got pretty dry, but not to the point of plant wilt. I also wouldn’t mess with the roots again...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

@Observe & Report “Trust me bro” “you just aren’t using right the nute line” “you can’t even flush with organics” “Synthetic buds just LOOK better” “I can’t keep my plant fed with organics” “But they keep winning cups with xyz nute line” “I get 3x the growth rate with synthetic” “Plants get...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

@tstick it sounds like we had very similar experiences. I moved to Colorado in 2014 to start growing and got my med card right away. I spent over $3000 at dispensaries in the first few months I was there “experiencing” what the market had to offer. What a disappointment that was coming from only...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

I personally wouldn’t put much merit into what “wins cups” at cannabis competitions. It’s been a long time “secret” that most cups are rigged/bought and paid for. I’ve even read reviews in forums by people who’ve been to cups saying the judges had their heads up their asses or were paid off...

    Organic Vs. Synthetic Nutrients

I guess I’ll be that guy.… Proper organic grown weed is hands down, not even a close call, no competition, better than synthetic grown weed whether in coco, soil, rock wool or aeroponics/DWC. Potency, flavor, smell, smoothness of the smoke on the inhale and exhale… all better organic. Been...

    TMV infected my fav pheno

I’ve heard from around $400-$1000 per plant depending on how long it takes them to get the cut clean. Sometimes it’s a few rounds of culturing, several months each round. I think it just depends on how badly infected the plant material is.

    TMV infected my fav pheno

If the plant is that much of a keeper, I’d send a slip to a Tissue Culture lab for Meristem Culture Propagation. There are a few labs who will culture out the plant for you, and send you back a clean cut, but it takes months and isn’t cheap. Just mentioning that this as I feel a lot of keeper...

    Water Chiller Recommendations

What’s up growers? I experienced an equipment failure on my 2-1/2 HP Penguin Water Chiller yesterday. I’m looking to see what chillers people are running and looking for feedback. My Penguin chiller failed twice within about 4 months of actual run time, so that brand is out and I’d recommend to...

    Exotic Genetix

I ran “The Guice” a number of years ago which was a GG4 cross with something orangey EDIT: Original Glue x Orange Valley OG. Every female but the one I kept (for a bit) herm’d or threw some nanners. I think he had a Glue male that he was using that wasn’t stable, because all of the other...

Sealed Tent, Living Soil & The Quest For Fire

Was busy over the weekend so a little late for the weekly update. I took cuttings from 10/12 plants on Saturday afternoon. Took some big fans from the Purple Paralyzers to free up some airflow around the smaller plants One of the Paralyzer plants and a Bubblegum Breath were still too...

Chop this week? Is there enough amber trichomes, or would you wait longer

I personally judge the color of the trichome head (clear/milky/amber) as that’s what we’re really harvesting. The stigma hairs will give you an idea, but they can also be misleading. I’ve had buds where all the “hairs” are turned and orange and started receding 3 weeks before the trichomes went...

Sealed Tent, Living Soil & The Quest For Fire

Plants are drinking now. The three biggest PPP plants are drinking a lot. I might have to start supplementing watering for the thirsty ones between irrigation cycles. Didn’t get to taking cuts today, but I did put together a quickie fixture with 2 Bridgelux EB Thrive 4000k strips with...

Sadly this is not it... (humidifier by SF)

Maybe put the fan speed controller back on the fan? Does humidity increase if fan speed is decreased? Maybe put the humidifier back the tent with the fan just pulling lightly and see what you get. If you’re worried about smell, you should just have a fan/filter combo in the tent that scrubs the...
