Frenchy, If it's so much better taking out the teeth on the BB machine, perhaps we should just remove the whole piece! Have you tried it? Also, other than more rapid flow are there other benifits, ie Quality?

Thanks Frenchy great reply my friend. As you probably know by my previous comments, I'm trying to produce old school style hashish but clean and top /quality. The best way to know what you're putting in your own body is to have made it yourself :)

Frenchy, I know the motivation for drying and curing for long term storage is moisture removal for mold resistance, but will taste become less harsh as well or is taste only strain related? My plan is to hand press always on the first wash. Since only body heat is involved in...

Yes, I use 99% and will try a mask though I think a special lab type mask must be used[ for solvents ] to get any protection. I would never skip this important step but for me gulping fresh air ,holding breath etc is the only unpleasant side of the exercise.

One more observation on having added the 190 Frenchy, Looking at my trichomes , the first and second wash are a beautiful brown and all in all, over the spectrum, there is less green color in later washes although I re used the "clean up" water for the first time. I thought this may retain...

When I was taking sticks out before running it ,trichomes were literally falling into the roasting pan. I'd love to try some dry sieve. Even the sticks and larger leaves were very sticky . Kush family ,experienced grower is all I know of the lineage. Beginners luck Baby ! I'll take it :)

Frenchy, I did my first run with the added 190 today and sure got a nice yield in fact, first wash[160]now looks very close to my 73. I'd saved all my material from 160[catch bag] in the past and was going to use it for butter but I think I'll run it through the 190 and just use that which...

Thanks Man, I figured that since my trim was dry, it was fine to leave air tight until use, but when people mentioned curing trim I figured I'd better ask. BTW pressing some of my dried trichomes I have some varied results but from last time I now have a...

Pardon my beginner question[again] If one has 6 week old trim double bagged [in ziplock bags then in vacuum sealed outer bags] what should be done with it [if any thing] before 'running' it? Merci Frenchy

I must say that the hand pressing was 30 mins of pure pleasure, literally seeing, feeling and smelling the process of trichomes melting together and how the piece changed was beautiful . Also, the weight of the loose resin was exactly the same as the finished piece. I then bottle pressed the...

Frenchy, I just hand pressed a piece and then used the hot water on another. Both were dried 4 days and cured for one month before today. Also, how long a cure do you feel is needed after pressing in the case of well dried resin like this?
