Just puttin it out there but my plants that are in veg that long all show preflowers, and if they're clones they show preflowers much earlier. Are you sure you just didn't notice the flowers until you actually were looking for them?

Yes I'd only do it to save a strain though because the clones are ugly as hell and take forever to come back to veg and have semi-normal looking leaves.

It wouldn't make any difference as long as you aren't lengthening cycle past 12 hours. It gets down to 11 hours in nature anyway. But who knows, it may make them think the end of the season is coming and they'll finish faster, lol, doubt it tho.
