its discussable. of course there's nothing better than veg with HID and flow with HPS but if you (in my case) have lack of space there might be a issue with overheating. HPS are way better because they produce denser photon beams which means that the light will penetrate deeper into the buds...

in my opinion its better to germinate seeds in toilet paper or tissue instead of soaking them, as well as I like to dry half of the soil and keep the other half moist then the roots in the dry soil are forced to grow deeper making better root system

next time try pre soak toilet paper dip in the seed fold it and put it in plastic bag so it get moisture keep it somewhere warm and boom my rooted up in 2-3 days
