    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

yep it wouldn't make sense for a small setup, as with the unscientific test I did the PS drew about 8w without a load, and then whatever amps the fans were. But with a larger setup it makes a lot of sense, as the efficiency goes up with each fan added.

Just get a good PC power supply for the fans, they have both the 12v and 5v rails, and will pretty much last forever.

Then you better rethink it, those are intense lights and you'll have them an inch from the plant(s) lol

    DiY LED - Frankenstein's Crown

When I set my driver to run at .7 amps, that's when I checked it. Maybe I tested it wrong though. I checked it by the leads on the solder pads which aren't being used. Surprised me cause the stats say they run at 29v. I have the 4000k as well.

    DiY LED - Frankenstein's Crown

I'm curious as to why your V18's pull around 28v. Mine seem to pull 32v, though I'd rather they be around 28v which is what my driver is rated for.

Sure. The hood is there to hold the heatsinks, and to reflect side lighting down to the plant. I used a pretty thick gauge sheet so there's no flex, and strong enough to mount the heatsinks into.

Thanks, yeah I tried to go for something simple that would work well. It was really simple to make.

Those are heatsinks from old Dell computers. I didn't really have a way to attach the 60mm fans on top, so I used high temp silicone, it seems to do the job well.

right now they're inside. I don't think they'll be a problem with heat, as they just got barley warm at 1.2 amps.

Here's my 3 x Vero 18 setup. The drivers support .7, 1.0, and 1.2 amps. At the full 1.2 and the fans on, the heatsinks just get very slightly warm. Total watts at .7 including fans is about 67 watts. Vero's are the 4000k. The old school type reflector seems to put the light exactly where I want...

I think you should forget growing and just smoke it. You're too clueless to even follow advice given to you.

    Plant growing VERY slowly

you should never cut off the cotyledon leaves, they give it nutes early on. Looks underfed either by nute lockout or no nutes. Since you say nutes in soil I'd say nute lockout. I had that happen once. Transplanted in my known good soil and took 2 weeks to recover and start up again.

    World Of Hempy

Is it normal for a 100% perlite hempy to need watering every day? I used perlite/verm on a different strain and got away with watering every 2 days. This one is killing me because all the water she's drinking raises the humidity so much.
