Can the storage bins or the plastic make my weed degrade or get worse over time??

Will any storage bin work? I'm thinking the bigger the better as then I will have more space to move the buds around to get more air. Thinking for 5 lbs I will just get like a 12 gallon storage bin and just use cardboard to create separate storage spots.

I have a few pounds of weed that I need to store in a container or something. Would a basic like 5 gallon storage container work? I will be putting the 58% boveda packs in the container too.... Should I line the bottom of the container with something also?
