Tacoing and Curling - Light Burn? (F18)

Tested TDS on some runoff and it was way too high. The plant was re-potted recently and it seems that the slow-release worm castings were under-estimated. I flushed down to 570ppm and raised the light even further. Updates to come

Tacoing and Curling - Light Burn? (F18)

This plant's still quite young, so hopefully diagnosing and getting ahead of this issue early will allow it the rest of a healthy flowering cycle. Six days ago, this OG Alien moved from 4 high-output CFLs to a 600W Viparspectra LED. The light hangs about 18-20" above the plant (manual recommends...

Lots of Bad Symptoms, Uncertain of Core Problem

Thanks for the ongoing feedback gang, I really earnestly appreciate it. The plants took another full-strength feeding yesterday and are looking stronger since OP. New growth is appropriately vibrant, although, as Reefersaurus suggested, still quite slow (I will definitely be taking the above...

Lots of Bad Symptoms, Uncertain of Core Problem

    Administered a feeding today at ~85% strength from GH's organic line: Grow (4 - 3 - 3) CaMg+ (1 - 0 - 0) BioRoot (0 - 1 - 1) BioWeed (0.2 - 0 - 0.3) Diamond Black (0 - 0 - 1)

Lots of Bad Symptoms, Uncertain of Core Problem

Doc, that is exactly what my deepest secret hope has been! When I recognized that the yellowing is, for the most part, starting at the bottom of the plants and working its way up, I suspected N deficiency, but I've been hesitant to increase feeds out of fear that those purple-tipped leaves could...

Lots of Bad Symptoms, Uncertain of Core Problem

These two plants were cuttings taken from their mother plant sometime in early/mid-February. They sat in water for a few weeks until they showed roots, and in early April, they moved into a soil-based mix (soil + perlite + v. small portion of vermicast). They live in a space bucket (similar to...

    Alien OG (F:43) -- P? pH? Everything's fine?

Thanks so much for your diagnoses, I suspect overfeeding could be accurate. I'm using the General Organics line, and have been using their recommended amounts - guessing I could probably make do with half strength. Have always used a feed/water/water schedule, hoping that would help keep...

    Alien OG (F:43) -- P? pH? Everything's fine?

First grow, looking for any insight/advice! Alien OG day 43 of flower soil medium w/ perlite + vermicast feeding GH's organic line "micro-grow" in a spacebucket Lately some lower fan leaves have been yellowing- I leave them on until they take very little effort to remove and pull right off...

    Smallest Viable Grow?

I'm growing a bean from bagseed in a homemade "tent" - it's a cube about 1.5' on each side (actually only about 16.5"-cubed of livable space inside). She's an Alien OG, so is naturally a little stouter/bushier than other strains, which is part of why I think this will work. The plan is to do...

General Organics - Full Set or The Basics?

^^ Interesting stuff above! Can EWC alone provide enough for a bean plant throughout all stages of growth? I actually happen to have a bag of the stuff around, and have a small bit mixed into my plant's soil - was planning to add liquid feeds in only 1/2 or even 1/3 amounts to ensure it's...

General Organics - Full Set or The Basics?

Hey all, this may seem like a silly question but I'd love to hear what the community thinks. 1L containers of General Organics' Grow and Bloom are available for a combined $50. The General Organics' GO Box is available for $65, but you only get half as much Grow and Bloom Are the 8 oz...

home made bug killer and controller

Mouth wash is a cool idea, I'm definitely going to try that. In the past I've used a few drops of dish soap mixed with oil into a spray bottle. For the specific case of fungus gnats (they burrow and live under the top ~2" of soil), I've run a mix of hydrogen peroxide and water through the container.

Seedling damaged during transplant - should I treat it like a cutting?

Fantastic! I'm not stranger to the required patience of watching your vegetables grow. First feeding (at half strength, perhaps even less) is scheduled for the end of this week, though it's tempting to start sooner

Seedling damaged during transplant - should I treat it like a cutting?

A couple photos for the experts to consider. Yellowing is somewhat concerning, is this a healthy looking plant?

Seedling damaged during transplant - should I treat it like a cutting?

Happy to share that the severed "top" of this plant has recovered spectacularly. It was suspended in a cup of water for the past 5 days, and by this afternoon, had ~8 fairly chunky looking roots developing normally. Noticed that the starter leaves began to yellow, which I figured was likely due...

Seedling damaged during transplant - should I treat it like a cutting?

Thanks for the reply weevil + bareback. The leaves are still looking strong, no loss of colour or rigidity. I actually think the first set of leaves (not the starters) may have turned a bit to the light-source since the plant was placed in water. Should I just toss the root ball + stem...

Seedling damaged during transplant - should I treat it like a cutting?

Two weeks from seed, the plant's stem was fractured while upgrading to a larger pot. Above the fracture is about 2.5" of healthy-looking stem, then the starter leaves, the first real leaf pair, and the tiny beginnings of the second leaf pair, all looking green and healthy. Below the fracture...
