    CannaButter & Decarboxylation

My only issue with alcohol methods is the slight alkalinity of alcohol can create some bigger problems down the road if you plan on using the butter in baking like for cookies. Fat + alkalinity makes soap and you can even taste it in the end product if you don't purge the alcohol properly, and...

I think this is the new winning strategy

    CannaButter & Decarboxylation

This can be a variable but in the grand scheme it wouldn't take 70% of my potency away. Chlorophyll is water soluble but THC & terps are not. In a case of heavy agitation during the blanching process you might knock off some of the trichomes into the bottom of the pot but not 70% of them...

    CannaButter & Decarboxylation

Sorry if this is in the wrong category, I had a hard time deciphering which one would be best for this. I've made CannaButter before dozens of times, I'm also a sous chef with a pretty lengthy background in food & with cannabis in general, and I think I make pretty damn good product, but the...

    GG#4 leaves turning yellow/brownish red

I typically go by ppm, running 1250 consistently. I hardly check it since I'm on a consistent mixing schedule and it's always the same when I check it. All my plants love it except the GG it's the only strain giving me trouble

    GG#4 leaves turning yellow/brownish red

This applies to using hydro nutrient salts in soil as well?

    GG#4 leaves turning yellow/brownish red

Using Athena pro line, 4g core + 6.7g bloom, Botanicare CalMag @5ml/gal. pH 5.6-5.9 Using pro mix & worm castings for soil base in 3 gallon pot. This is today, day 30 of flower. Previously was advised that my soil was drying back too far, or CalMag deficiency, maybe both. Curious to see what...

    Rusting spots or deficiency?

I increased CalMag to 5ml/gal and it hasn't been giving me issues since

    Rusting spots or deficiency?

I know that feeling lol I had to take a food chemistry class in college and I know how hard it can be to get rid of some fungal infections from that. Probably will just stunt the growth at wors After how hard it was to get rid of the spider mites I'd like to just chill for a bit on my spare...

    Rusting spots or deficiency?

Been seeing these spots popping up all over the place in my tents, from what I've gathered from others in my network they tell me it's probably CalMag deficiency, however, I am on the closing phase (hopefully) of getting rid of spider mites I had 10 days ago. Leads me to think it could be rust...

Praying like crazy or something else?

That's definitely light stress by the way it's cupping almost like a funnel into the center. Raise the light just a few inches and you'll be in the sweet spot. I always try to push the boundaries of the lights myself I've done it more times than I'd like to admit MY OWN DANK's picture is a...

Orange/browning dried up pistils day 27 of flower

Wind burn would make sense. I put in a standing fan about 3 days before I noticed the buds browning in the original pic. Changed the feed and environment I'll just have to wait til next week for more results. Crossing my fingers that I'll be able to salvage a few ounces out of this

Orange/browning dried up pistils day 27 of flower

I was considering this as a possibility, but it's only happening to one plant out of the 4 in the same tent. I did some digging and I'm confident it's just too much N ): got some foxtailing that started happening today but thankfully I've already adjusted the feed starting today, just hoping...

Orange/browning dried up pistils day 27 of flower

I did have a SINGLE day where one of three lights in that tent flipped back to an 18/6 light cycle because of a programming error on the outlet timer, but that was over 2 weeks ago and it was caught very quickly, like, so quickly I figured it wouldn't even be an issue.

Orange/browning dried up pistils day 27 of flower

Been using Lost Coast Plant Therapy (2 Tbsp/gallon) to get rid of a spider mites infestation I had in January. Heavy spray on all tents about once a week to make sure they're gone. Climate is very consistent throughout the tent, it's only 8'x4'. I'm attaching a newer picture of the buds. Newer...

Orange/browning dried up pistils day 27 of flower

I've had pistils start turning orange this early in the past but it was from light stress. This bud is about halfway from the top of the plant's canopy and the soil. Definitely not light stress. Just looking for multiple opinions on what could be causing this. Using Athena pro nutrient line with...

Week 2 of veg, some plants not bouncing back from the transplant

Update: week 4 of veg Adjusted my environment, at a steady 55-65% RH, 75-80°F, moved my 2k watt LED to the very top of the tent. This alone seemed to help a lot, however, it has come to my attention (2 days after creating this post) that my outlet timer was not functioning, leaving my lights on...

Week 2 of veg, some plants not bouncing back from the transplant

So Ill let the soil dry up nicely for 2 more days, and then flood it with filtered pH'd water and see how it goes, sound like a good plan of action?
