If you grow in that same spot next year I would start bending the plant when it gets as high as whats growing around it if you want it to blend in better.

I bent mine over last year and it worked out great. I used thick cotton cord, about 3/8 od, its soft and doesnt scratch the stems at all. Bend a little a time and more as time goes by.

They dont come to check on you. When the plants start budding they are considered mature. Stay within the legal limit and youll be fine. 6 mature plants is your limit.
