I grow with cfls so I can't help your light situation but 100 watts per plant should be plenty of hps.I'm growing 2 really small plants under less than a 100 watts of cfl and there doing alright.but with 7 feet of height youshouldn't have to sog or scrog if you don't want to but it may help...
